Bandwidth for locking is another option they can look at. - Insert edit: Fleet locks require 0 bandwidth
Or as an alternative, they can do what they have done for 7 years. Nothing.

I like this alot. post in assembly hall with a full idea.
The element that is critical is to use current code but redirect it. So the Devs arent starting from scratch, taking 2 years to implement.

so that basically means titans will no longer die to BS fleets as they wont be able to apply reasonable DPS to it? Even with 50+ dreads killing titans takes a while (as you can nicely see on the video of beehatch's death in h-w.
not really sure this is a good idea to start with. especially in long range fleet fights you might not see many kills anymore as many target will manage to warp out before they get killed. (even BS vs BS)

50 dreads not willing to commit to battle maybe.
15 sieged will kill a titan. It shouldnt take 5 minutes to kill a titan. It should take 50, minimum. Everyone seems so determined that EvE is a warriors game, its about great battles. As long as they can be done quick and with little dedication?
The only other option I can think of and CCP will love this one because its an ISK sink. A new system with War dec requirements to engage in Sov space battles. It doesnt mean you can't enter Sov space without a war dec but in the event of war zone space, entry could be given priority based on the Sov holder and the war dec party. This would be a two edged sword because it would also reduce a Sov holding alliances ability to call in blue friendly but it would allow CCP to create a hardware based cap on system populations. If someone wants to flood thier own systems with pilots to prevent invasion? Thats fine as long as the other side knows in advance the people they are invading is holding 80% of the pop cap, they can then either fall back or hit another system that alliance holds sov to. Split cap 50/50 for Sov. Sov holder should always have advantage. Its thier space. |

I will buy that argument when you prove that your alliance can keep an hostile titan bubbled for 50minutes.
