Hey all. I would love it you guys could give me a little advice as to what areas I need to spend some time on. Here is my sheet: sniperDK
Here is what I'm planning on training in the upcoming months: Energy Systems Operation V, Energy Management V, Armor Rigging IV, Shield Rigging IV, T2 Heavy Drones, the Leadership skills to IV, and Navigation skills. Speaking of Navigation skills, should they be taken to V or is IV good enough?
Any input? Thanks for taking the time to help me out a bit!

Thanks for your reply. I currently have Thermodynamics at IV, you think getting it to V is beneficial? And I forgot to mention in my OP, my missile skills need some attention. T2 torps and IV on the support skills is what I'm planning on working to.

..Comon, anyone? I'd really like to know if AWU and the navigation skills at V would be worth it or not. Any advice for a PVP pilot?

-electronic warfare drone interfacing IV, minmatar and gallente drone spec IV. don't bother with heavy drones yet as your missile skills are not good enough to fly the typhoon. -energy emission systems IV, energy mgt V, energy systems op V, shield mgt & op V. -leadership skills armor/info/siege/skirmish to V, well you may as well with your very high charisma. -armor/astronautics/shield rigging IV. -missiles: you could probably get away with putting these on the backburner. there are enough turret-only options for minmatar. -evasive maneuvering V, high speed man IV (I love this skill at V for minnie mwd cruiser/BC, but it's a big one to do). -thermodynamics V. very worthwhile if you do any solo/small gang work. -social V (when incarna hits you want to be able to do all the dance moves....) -destroyers V, thrashers are great fun but need the skill to V and it also unlocks the minnie dictor for later. -some trade skills perhaps to sell all the pvp lootage, especially to take advantage of your high charisma.
-after this decide whether to go for BS V or recon V etc.
edit/ yeh AWU V is also worthwhile.

Thank you for your advice. I'm going to go by your suggestions and alter my training queue. On the leadership skills, I don't really see myself piloting a warefare link ship, but do you still recommend taking those skills to V? Thank you again.

First you have already a very decent set of skills for a matari pilot, now what would I train in priority ?
1/ absolute necessity : energy system ops ( rank 1) and energy management ( rank 3 ) to 5 => those are a must no matter which ship do you fly
2/ the navigation skills : fuel conservation, high speed maneuvering , acceleration control to 4 and Evasive maneuvering to 5 ( to unlock inties )
3/ Shield operation to 5
4/ since matari can fly mixed weapons ships, I would bring all the relevant support missiles skills to 4 first, then train to use T2 missiles weapons used on stabber/vaga/cyclone
5/ Shield management to 5
6/ then from here different roads
* matari BS to 5 or *a bit more training into drones department with heavy T2 and all racial and support drones skills to 4 * or spec into T2 ships with recon/hac/assault ship/command ship to 4 first then you see which one you use and push it to 5 * or also depending on which hull do you use more often, if its firg or cruiser size, train weapon spec to 5
Just a few ideas

Edited by: sniperDK on 04/07/2010 03:02:06 Thank you very much for your replies. I am in the process of putting your suggestions into my skill plan.
As for the spec to V, that seems like it would be a last resort to me. And maybe not even then. Would any wep spec to V make any noticeable difference? Obviously the bang for your buck is no good.
Besides prereqs for specific ships, navigation skills to IV?
Here is a short list of ships I intend on flying:
Rifter Rupture AF's Logi Hac BC BS SB Dictor Hic Dessie Short list not so short haha. Any more suggestions are more then welcome. Thank you very much.

I do not plan on flying a ship with warfare links, but I would like the option to be a decent booster. So I have a plan to get all the the basic leadership stuff to IV. Is it worth taking the basic leadership skills past IV and then into the specs?

Some I Noticed that you will want:
Shield Management V Shield Operation V Drone Interfacing V Evasive Manouevering V if you ever want to get into Interceptors And Recon to V. Logistics to V (if you want to fly a logi) oh, and you don't have HAC? Get that top 4 or 5 and fly muninn/vaga. that's where I'd train immediately if I were you. Oh, and if you want angel ships, keep cross training to gallente.
I'd skip all leadership training with your ship list. You have a year left of training for what you want there.
