Looking at how England's done so far, I think I reflect much of the sentiment here with the verse "lieb Vaterland, magst ruhig sein..." --------------------------- Only those who surrender are lost |

Me thinks that this is the only game that may spurn the English side to play as a whole team.

'66, England are awarded a goal that wasn't over the line. '10 England are denied a goal that was clearly over the line.
'70 England go 2-0 up and lose 3-2 to Germany '10 England go 2-0 down...

Edited by: Dray on 27/06/2010 15:06:59 English here, a bitter pill but it's done now get on with it, we've had the possession but not to big on quality so far, Germany has had more and better chances, I'm not convinced we've got enough atm, and why wont any of the pundits on tv come out and say it, Rooney isn't the player we've been watching in the premiership this season and doesn't look good enough for his place, mind you I wouldn't have the balls to drop him.
FIFA: old men more interested in good hotels and being pampered by the worlds football associations looking for backing for tournaments then governing the sport.
Mark Lawrenson was 100% correct about goal line tech when he said "for a multi billion pound sport world wide it's just embarrassing". To be fair how the f**k didn't they see it had crossed the line, Ray Charles saw it was a goal and he's blind and dead!
Now more than ever I wish Lennart Johannson beat Blatter for the FIFA presidency.

At least I can now enjoy the world cup, as an Englishman having us in the world cup is similar to masturbating with a barb wire glove, there's pleasure involved somewhere you just struggle to find it.....
As for Englands performance in the tournament, I refer you to my sig.

Okay fess up... Who swapped out England for a pub team?
A fair few premier league managers are going to have a few choice words with their "stars" when they get back... At least Real Madrid won't want Rooney after this
Looking forward to a Brazil - Argentina final

Edited by: ShadowMaiden on 27/06/2010 16:01:40 Bet the trash at the Daily Star not so smug now are they?, esp after printing a picture of Wayne Rooney in a WW1 soldiers helmet on the front cover of thursday's edition. Rather than report objectively, they have to resort to lip quivering, wrap the flag around me, self pitying nationalism.

The Daily Mail yesterday had an article on why its still good to 'bash the bosche'. With photos from British TV comedy lampooining the Germans. This is so pathetic and ******ed. I would not wipe my arse with that newspaper. .................................................. Cylon cultural victor! |

Rage is fine if they direct it towards the players, not capello. Capello did a decent enough job, he couldn't have predicted all his best players were going to suck

For that to happen means the tabloid press has to report professionally and objectively, we've got more chance of winning the world cup tbh.....
