When we invent time travel they will give you a perfect too the second completion time for patches, since when has any MMO implemented a patch on time, its not like you can tell if its going too go onto the server perfectly :)

What i cant understand is that u whine about this if u think Eve is the only game they cant keep deadlines then think again every game has that and learn to live with it patches can creat unsuspected problems and they need to be adressed simple as

I work in Operations also, and we don't supply exact, to the minute ETA's, but provide estimates to the hour, becuase of the complexity of the work, and potential issues, unforeseen issues that could arise. So I guess CCP has encountered such an unforeseen issue. In the 3+ years I've been playing Eve this latest patch overshooting the window has been a first for me. So I'm not overly critical, and I'm ok with it. I have other worlding things I can use to amuse myself until Eve is back on line...
err..dude, did you read the patch notes for this patch? right at the top? It says we are being compensated for the extended dely in the recent patch.
Also, you are plain wrong about the bit i put in italics - fyi

All which is matters is that in the end, their will be cake, perhaps proven to be a spy rather than a lie we will find the pie who was the spy of the lie of the cake.
Lesser known gerbils will of course come and claim to have known this but we know all from the ninja camels on the deserts of the revolving apples and the backward speaking hippos.

Errm - but they do. They see into the future and say its going to be 13:30. And they're wrong. So they have another go and say 14:30. And they're wrong again. So they have another go and say 15:00. Etc ad infinitum. If they didn't try and predict the time it's coming back up, that would actually be better. They should say its unavailable all day and that that months fees would be amended pro rata and have done with it.
The waiting wouldn't be so bad if the Japan - Paraguay game wasn't proving to be a damp squib too. I blame CCP for that too.

You can watch it every day. If it would be able to be done in-time and on-line it would be fixed without you getting notice of it!
Quote: Here's a hint if you constantly run 200 to 300% over time, increase your initial down time forcast.
P.S.. CCP, you should probably replace the person responsible for the terrible estamites!!!!
or at least make him fear for his job if hes wrong again
As some of your brain-cells got for themselves: "it's an estimated duration"
Now try to stick those remaining (half-trained) braincells to something usefull and stop blaming CCP all the time. They do their job as good as possible!

Reality check ! Its called supply and demand people , eve is a glorified chat room fueled by friendships , they supply it you demand it , ccp knows this ! Stop paying , shut up on the forums and threaten their rl wallet and they will listen to you with both ears open and wide eyes . This is the way of the information age , either adapt or sink ...... now tacos for you all ,,,,, enjoy

Actually, CCP is doing better. This time they restrained themselves to say that they expected to be done by 14:30 if memory serves. They didn't say they would be. Posting is an excuse for not working... |

awwww... I've been mostly the guy on our TS, who calms otherones down when the DT extends AGAIN.
Now, been doing this three times in a row, it's really a failure of CCP not to be able to predict the DT.
Please, make the predictions few hours extra from beginning. Then, if you manage to make it few hours early, nobody will complain. Nobody.

yea thanks person number 300 for saying this... again. CCP does their best in trying to get the server back up. They can't see into the future and see when its going to be back up
ok let me tell you how estamites work in the real world since you obviously have no clue....what you do is look at what you need to do then look at past data of how long similar thing took you then ad aboy 25% for unfoseen complications.. dont get me wrong im cure that the programmers are hard at work and i in now way blame them for keeping it down so long ..but i do blme the ignorant imbasil that keeps giving out forcasts that they cannot historicaly keep......furthormore ppl will keep saying it untill they get the point and they have yet to so it will keep being said

How is having too push back the server up time lying, if you say too your mother you will be home at 3pm but the bus breaks down on the way home, and you get home at 3:15pm does that make you a liar and you will be grounded for two weeks?

I know waiting sucks, these things sometimes take awhile. Those of you who have never administrated a server farm or even a small network with a server have no idea what it takes to keep things up. Especially when applying new code patches to a server cluster. even the smallest thing can cause a whole mess of problems that could have never been forseen. I'm worked on servers before, and have worked with programming before. I have not worked both, so I can only imagine what is going on, in fact I hope to work for a company like them one day. Just be patient. Your going to wait anyway. Your going to take what ever time they give you like it or not. Why not find something productive to do, cause its going to happen anyway.
I thank CCP for such a awesome product and I can not wait to see more. I say take all the time you need to get it done to the best of your ability.

For all those complaining, You got 13 Expansion packs at no additional costs, You have the ability to purchase your game time in-game with in-game currency, and you get 3 trials per month to send out, and get 30 extra days if any of them sign up
CCP is more generous than any other Pay to Play MMO out there, and it's ridiculous to see people complain over an extra Hour and a half wait, especially when it comes back up you'll have a free new ship and skillpoints to allocate as you wish

You may want to read that EULA again... Pay close attention to item #14...
In the event of a material breach of CCP's obligations to provide access to and use of your Account, the System, Game, Game Content or User Content, your sole and exclusive remedy shall be a refund of any pre-paid subscription fees attributable to the period during which you were denied such access and use, or an amount equal to the value of three (3) months' subscription fees, whichever is less.
