It seems to me that Broadcast nodes are the highest and most stable p4 item on Jita market right now. Could this be an actual profitable item for PI industries right now? or do you think this price will fall apart like the others?
Just wanted to know everybody's thoughts. Thanks

Now, as you mention them, they will fall apart like the rest. -------- All I want is a better mankind.

I'm making plenty of profit off of my PI goods. The prices for them are easily 2x what the NPC orders were, and I believe they're still going to climb (at least, I have yet to find a point at which the order stays on the market for longer than 5 minutes, even at 2x the NPC order price).

I made about half a million each from the few I made... then the component costs went through the roof.
PI is just a big mess.

I make about 500mil - 1 bil monthly now from 5 planets on 1 character. Id say screw p4 production atm or save em for later. Since stated market is messed up really
But if you find the correct items that have a stable price already, you will make loads of isk.
Have fun!

The market isn't "screwed up". More people want to manufacture than sell P1 goods.
Also, P1 goods have a multiple applied to their cost because they go on to help make 2-3 P2's each. If you built a pyramid on top of a much smaller square, guess where all the stress would be. Why is this concept so hard for people to understand?

I fail to see why we keep thinking the market for PI is ****ed, and that everything is destabilized to hell and wont ever stabilize again!
It is obvious even to me, that this new system is a very large change. Every POS/SOV structure is now build by players - it takes months of PI before the market has settled. right now what we see is people "learning how to PI" and swapping their production around to get the best profits, as a result to that items that seems stable and semi-profitable will soon be ****ed over and a new item will take it's place..
From personal experience i know that many pos modules aren't even being sold on the market due to no one producing them
PI will, some day, settle and be about as profitable as Highsec mining.. in highsec at least

I'd actually bet on the integrity response drones in the long run. The reason is that there is more leeway regarding which planets you can use to make broadcast nodes. The response drones, on the other hand, force you to use a single pattern of planets. I think this may end up lowering supply eventually.
That's my guess anyway. But who knows if it's right? |

I might be cynical in saying this but until the stockpiles of tier 2 and 3 items that were npc sold get used up, everything is out of balance. Based on the values of the components used to make planetary vehicles, they should be one of the most expensive t3 item, and they sell for peanuts. Many people are able to build large volumes of some items very cheap using stockpiles of old npc sold goods.
Extra supply and low demand from Sov structure builders who don't have all the bpo's yet is going to keep PI goods dropping. the profit margin of some Sov structures is very nice right now :)

I believe you're correct. I began making drones after looking at the BPOs of large towers. You need more drones than anything else and they are one of the most difficult to make.
You just have to look at the current price of towers and divide that by how many P4 components are needed to build it. Some P4 components are more difficult to manufacture than others so that will factor in the individual price. You obviously need to have some knowledge of how much time goes into producing P4 to be able to speculate on individual value.
Then add in the price of the BP used to build the tower and whatever profit you think you should make. That should give you a very basic idea of what the market should look like in a couple months time.
I'm placing my bets on integrity response drones selling for between 4-5 mil in 3 months time.

If you look at ot that way then Wetware Maiframe should be the most expensive P4 thing, but it isnt and the price isnt going up anymore

You would think, but right now it's more profitable to just sell Water Cooled CPU then it is to take it to one of the P4 products that they are part of --

Originally by: Macvombat right now what we see is people "learning how to PI"
BINGO!
I was out of town when PI first was released. When I got back a couple weeks later, I started training skills and playing around. Then I got some planets set up making the P3s that can be built on a single planet... Easy money.
I soon realized that the P3s that can be made entirely on a single planet are going to be massively oversupplied and therefore less profitable long run. Easy = low profit.
I'm in the process of shutting down all my advanced processors on my non-POS fuel extractor planets and setting up a processor planet that I'll transport all my P1s to for processing up the chain. This, of course, also requires I decomission and rebuild extractors for a better mix of P1s needed to build the more dificult P4s that will be more profitable instead of just being focused on the P1s needed for single planet processing of P3.
It will take time, and for now we have no clue where the market will be months from now.

I bought a stockpile of every seeded npc good and I have been making 24 recursive computing modules, nano factories, organic mortar applicators, and wetware mainframes a day. This is with two alts in an awesome 0.0 system with every planet needed and a huge stockpile of npc bought goods. CCP really screwed up by leaving in the sell orders for so long!
