With the recent news about the Nation's incursion into Jovian space, one small detail may have been overlooked.
The system in question, 3-CE1R, is not a remote or isolated system. While CONCORD has verified that the station from the probe reports was indeed Prosper Vault, the system is also the Head Quarters of the Jovian Directorate Faction (Not Corporation).
CONCORD has also been quite silent about news, and to the best of my knowledge no Jovian representatives or deligates have made any announcements.
With a Nation's Fleet verified to be within the Head Quarters of the Jovian Directorate, speculation running wild, I beleive that the Empires, Corporations and Capsuleers deserve a response from the Jovian Directorate or CONCORD.

There is one thing I must say.
Jamyl Sarum is likely sharing her mind with a Jovian entity (from the recent book, sorry if this isn't supposed to be included in the overall game storyline). The Amarr Navy is currently the ONLY navy in Eve that is on high alert and preparing for battle. This leads me to believe that Jamyl Sarum knows something about the Jove/Sansha interaction that we don't, and that it's not a good interaction. Sarum's movement to mobilize her armed forces in addition to her partial occupation by a Jovian consciousness leads me to believe the Sansha occupying force in Jovian space is anything but welcome.

So, whatever you're smoking that makes you think Jamyl Sarum is a Jovian...I'd like some of it. Who's your seller?

I don't think FeralShadow said that Empress Jamyl is a Jovian, merely that she had been, well, Touched by a Jovian (to borrow the title of a famous holodrama from a few years back on the Coeur'd'Leon Broadcasting System in the Gallente Federation). As a result of this, she may be privy to information we don't have, accounting for the current high alert of the Imperial Fleet (though we've seen none of that here in Tash-Murkon space).
Incidentally, I never watched Touched by a Jovian myself. I was more a fan of Danse avec le CTlFbre...

Yeah. It's a bit OOC to say this but it's from the Empyrean Age Novel (which fits really well with eve fiction so I think most accept it as true fiction like the chronicles) _______________________________________________ "If you want to taste the ground, feel free to attack." - Kenshin Himura

I wouldn't be so quick to accuse the Jovians of anything. I have seen recent intelligence reports suggesting they are all but extinct.
My concern is that the bones of the Jovian Empire are currently being picked over and we capsuleers are the ones losing out. Unless some kind of firm statement is issued by the Jovians (if they still exist) I suggest we all invest whatever resources are required in finding a route into Jovian space to investigate what is really going on there.

Then your intelligence lacks intelligence. I assure you that the Jovians are anything but extinct.

Another point to note about the recent actions of CONCORD, where is the CORPS bi-monthly report? Granted the information is declassified, usually non tactical information, but without updates it would lead me to believe that the recent reports have been all classified.
Why the recent need for secrecy?

Let us observe:
ò Jamyl Sarum was dead. Suddenly she reappears in an amazing ship to blow up things. ò Master Kuvakei was dead. Suddenly he reappears with an amazing force to blow up things.
ò Master Kuvakai has had contact with the Jovians of one sort or the other. ò Sarum is rumored to have been in contact with the Jovians as well. ò CONCORD is known to have contact with the Jovians and they use Jovian tech in their ships.
So, all sides were in contact with the Jovians and use some of their technology.
Currently it is possible that Nation and Amarr will go to war. CONCORD may play the role of the observer.
Concluding I see my theory of the Jovians pulling the strings in all of this more and more manifested. They sponsor both sides in the war and make sure an observing party (CONCORD) is present.
The knowledge gained from the likely war will then be taught in the Jovian Academy of Aggressive Behaviour.
That, Ladies and Gentleman, is the handwriting and plan of the Jovians.

So it seems CONCORD still has things to tell us capsuleers to help us fight and stop these sansha attacks. Any information CONCORD will be valuable into defeating the enemy. Who says that the Amarr are preparing for a war against the Sansha?
Maybe they are combining forces?

Edited by: James Vayne on 30/06/2010 18:22:14 Perhaps it is some sort of Jovian Machination to have us all exterminate each other. It is no secret that they have been supplying various parties with advanced technology that these parties themselves do not understand. It is no secrete that the Jove desire to regain the awe and might of their first empire, either. Who is to say this shall not be achieved by squashing all of ours through Mutually Assured Destruction?
Few understand the workings of the capsule and yet we use them so ubiquitously. I find this to be somewhat foolish. Few understand the workings of jovian propulsion and weapons system, yet CONCORD has no problem with making both technologies integral to the operation of CONCORD itself.
From my point of view the Jove have only ever had one goal: To fund war. And I often find myself musing as to why this is.
You could argue that Sansha took a station from the Jove through some means, but from what I have seen of them, nobody simply takes anything from the Jove (unless they wanted you to).
I would advocate far more scrutiny against the Jove and why they feel it necessary to supplant the war machines of most of the parties involved in this...disagreement, with their own technology.

From declassified Caldari reports, we got capsules because they traded all the info the State knew back then for them. Everything the Feduration and the State itself and its secrets were traded. Nothing is free in this universe, remeber that.
