A learned man once said: "Such is the state of life, that none are happy but by the anticipation of change: The change itself is nothing; when we have made it, the next wish is to change again. The world is not yet exhausted; let me see something tomorrow which I never saw before."
I say "Change is what you make of it; Pass me some more ammo for my 1400 IIs".
The Star Fraction has thinkers and movers. I want warriors.
If you believe in honourable combat and following a code of conduct, then come and have a chat. Our red list isn't getting any smaller!

o7 Jericho Fraction.
A questions if i may. Checklist entry number 5. At the time of interview demonstrate a shield tank equipped BC. I take it if a potential candidate can not meet this requirement - one should not apply? In any case great recruiting post. Best of luck. Alexii.

Even if you feel you cannot meet a requirement you should still discuss it with a recruiter in the channel "Star Fraction Public". Just look for "Blue Cell" in a Jericho Fraction pilots title and chat them up, they are all pretty cool chaps who are very helpful and understanding. I do not regret the infinite lives I have to give for the revolution! |

... 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world. Push off, and sitting well in order smite The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths Of all the western stars, until I die. It may be that the gulfs will wash us down: It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles, And see the great Achilles, whom we knew. Though much is taken, much abides; and though We are not now that strength which in the old days Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are, One equal-temper of heroic hearts, Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

There once was a man from Nantucket, tired of tyranical CEO's he said #@%! it, he put finding a new corp on his docket, and found a Star Fraction thread on ...
okay, there is no synonym for "corp recruitment board" that rhymes with docket...
BUT since Nantucket is US TZ, Star Fraction really wanted to talk to him about signing up.
We promote freedom... if that is what you are into, contact us ASAP.

The reason we say that is that during the trial period its best for a new member to be able to immediately fly with our patrols and combat operations and the shield-tanked BC concept we use "aegis" is something that is pretty important. Its not high skill intensive, only takes a few weeks after a trial account and active and eager recruits can expect to be helped out by some of the old timers if they prove a good fit for the corporation.
Mainly we give this direction so we know new recruits have something to aim at and can quickly be assessed during the trial.

William Blake
O for a voice like thunder, and a tongue To drown the throat of war! When the senses Are shaken, and the soul is driven to madness, Who can stand? When the souls of the oppressFd
Fight in the troubled air that rages, who can stand? When the whirlwind of fury comes from the Throne of God, when the frowns of his countenance Drive the nations together, who can stand?
When Sin claps his broad wings over the battle, And sails rejoicing in the flood of Death; When souls are torn to everlasting fire, And fiends of Hell rejoice upon the slain,
O who can stand? O who hath causFd this? O who can answer at the throne of God? The Kings and Nobles of the Land have done it! Hear it not, Heaven, thy Ministers have done it!

We need warriors, thinkers, revolutionaries and anyone who believes that the explosion from their enemies hull is worthless, without a reason to warrant it.

Just a short story...and a bump. Fly free everyone!
----
Ayrine left the pod after another long day in space, picking up a towel to dry herself off on the way back to her quarters aboard the Hurricane-Class Battlecruiser.
"Lady, you have a message waiting for you..." she heard one of the crewmembers say behind her.
The slight girl, barely reaching 5 feet in height, frail, vulnerable looking, turned and gave the young man a light, roguish wink, nodding.
"Thanks Guz. Give the crew a day off once you got everything settled in here." she said.
"Will do Lady. See you tomorrow." he replied, saluted lazily and turned around to bark some more orders as Ayrine headed to her private room and, once there, settled into the chair at the com-terminal. The message icon blinked repeatedly and she tapped it once, opening it and putting it on the main display.
To her surprise, it was a face she remembered quite well.
"Shanna..." she whispered, shaking her head, smiling. An old friend, from way back when she had first come to the stars.
"Hello Ayrine. I trust you are doing well. Knowing you, you're giving people the scares just as you did with good old Raoul. Heh, I am sorry for having been away so long, but business and family matters called me. However, I do have a bit more time now and I would love to explain it in person if you have the time. What are you doing? Are you still flying in the great wars? Anyway, I am looking forward to hearing from you."
The image faded with a light smile on the virtual Shanna's lips and Ayrine chuckled softly, leaning back and pondering a moment. Ahh, memories. Sweet and innocent times back then. Times when she hadn't been involved with the horrors and annoyances of full blown, intergalactic warfare. The horrors not so much from battle, because she liked that, no the horrors of betrayal, espionage and politics.
She sighed and shook herhead, then she leaned forward and pushed a button to compose a message in response.
"Oh Shanna, it was such a pleasure seeing and hearing you again. Yes, I would love to meet in person. We can have a nice glass of Whiskey and talk about the good old days, eh? Where can we do that? Well, that sort of depends, doesn't it? Currently, I am in Providence. I am here because...well this is going to tie into your other questions, so bear with me. No, I am no longer part of any of the large scale corporations and alliances. I do not fight in meaningless wars and and senseless control of territory. The time I spent in the Great Wars opened my eyes to the realities of the ridiculous nature of actual warfare in this galaxy and its dependency on politics, trickery and bribes, not to mention betrayal and false promises.
My experiences disillusioned me for a long time. I retreated from the Stars, because I believed there was nothing there for me. Just the greedy, grubby hands of corporations too big for their own good, never to be satisfied with what they have, only ever seeking to establish dominance over others, no freedom, no hope.
It took me a while, but eventually, I stumbled over a new group. A group I hadn't heard of before, but who showed me an alternative to this madness. A group that embodies freedom, and fights against any and all kinds of oppressive corporation and alliance. They uphold the notions of freedom of the indivdual and freedom of choice. At first, I was reluctant to believe it, but I gave it a shot. I had nothing to lose and I sorely missed flying, missed fighting.
Now, years later, I can say I never ever regretted my decision. We remain true to those ideals and we keep them alive with passion, loyalty and merciless conviction. I wish you could be here with me, take part in this. I will tell you more when we meet in person."
She smiled, attached a com-frequency to the message for Shanna to respond on private channels and then sent the message, settling back and staring out the window of her quarters.
No regrets.

The Fraction is still recruiting.
We're looking for fighters as well as thinkers, don't worry if you've not done 'RP' before; if you're looking for a new way to play EVE, if you want to get experience from some very old and gifted pilots, if you like the idea that your space combat means more than just pretty explosions, then come along and have a chat!
You might fit right in!

"The great majority of anarchists, if I am not mistaken, hold the view that human perfectibility and anarchy would not be achieved even in a few thousand years, if first one did not create by the revolution, made by a conscious minority, the necessary environment for freedom and well-being. For this reason we want to make the revolution as soon as possible, and to do so we need to take advantage of all positive forces and every favourable situation that arises." û Errico Malatesta
