Drop a hard-ever-used T1 drone (e.g. Web drone) with the wrecks. Name the system in the channel. Salvager can probe the drone out.
It might be a bit more work but probing is a useful skill, and you're still getting loot and salvage for free.
No bookmarks, no fleets. No need to be in the same place at the same time.

Easy way of doing it is thus:
Mission Runner clears first room/stage and moves on to second room/stage. At this point he/she/it fleets the salvager and the salvager begins looting and/or salvaging the first room and waits for the next room to clear.
This way the Mission Runner still gets all the bounties from said mission while the salvager is a room back doing salvaging. Turn in mission, rinse, and repeat. Everyone is happy.

Ok, here's a question: I'm not a newb needing a leg up, but I will take money anywhere I can get it, and actually ENJOY salvaging a lot of the time I usually salvage my own lvl 4s (when I have time to do them)...I even considered hiring myself out as a salvager, and like someone said, no sense in reinventing the wheel. What do folks feel about experienced players joining the channel & playing salvager? I'd even be willing to work out a profit split with the MR. I just don't to be seen as the Creepy Aunt looking for freebies

New to mission running and unsure of some game mechanics, how do you blue all wrecks?

The way i Operate is. salvager keeps everythong but empire dogtags and any faction loot that may drop and no mission required loot is to be taken. and if they get any bounties i prefer it to be returned minus any corp taxes.
otherwise its all good.

Thanks for the info, does that also include loot or will they still go red?

I would imagine that includes loot rights, since anyone can salvage a wreck without flagging at all. If there's loot in the wreck, it pops out in a can when the wreck is salvaged, still belonging to the one that popped the ship in the first place.

I usually mission and plex hunt (hisec) in Caldari adn Amarr space but have found very few takers for mission wreck balls, resulting in me dropping a can with b/m's in it and turned blue. Reaslise most people are scared of unsolicited invites for wreck salvaging so this initiative might help:) On the other hand, anyone wanting to clean up high end l4's keep an eye out for 'Lady Zakira' - t2 capable salvager - who will be operating in same areas. This toon is being developed to salvage once I venture back into wormholes. Good luck with your venture!

But I'll drop my missioners in there, if I can be bothered to log in ever again.

Nah, I just find myfacespacebook.com tedious. Suggestion: Remove the "new topic" button from everywhere apart from the list of topics section within a subforum.
That'd save those with chronic hand/eye coordination some face. |

If not, perhaps they should be considered as well. Level 1 and 2 wrecks might be a waste of time, but 3's can still net hundreds of thousands, maybe a few million, in isk. Perfect for noobs and might be a good way to even up supply with demand if it's unbalanced right now.
I agree, might wanna change the title to also include level 3 mission wrecks.
Something like 'Free Wrecks - Mission Level 3 and up'
Edit: Good idea, gratz.

You missed the bit where the salvager jumps into the next room, passively scans the fittings of the mission runner, (and if profitable) drops fleet and invites his buddies in for the gank. In addition to the warp scramble frigs and the rest of the room that the salvager has aggroed before warping out to pile more DPS on the mission runnner...

This is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. I'll stop in the channel tonight and see if I can find someone to salvage for. I'd even go so far as to offer a split of the profits from the sales of salvaged loot.

Seriously dont do this is you are packing officer or faction mods of a high value, this is asking people to scan your fittings and get you ganked, as stated above. The best way would be to bookmark each of the rooms with wrecks and drop these bookmarks in a blue can for the salvager to take.

Confirming the above to be the best no hassle way of doing it. Fleeting is too much of a hassle, imo.
Basic steps : 1) Blue all wrecks after each pocket/mission. Bookmark the place. Label them according to time (e.g. 1450) and if you want to add more desc, put in NPC type. 2) Wait until you have a batch of bookmarks (up to 1 hr from earliest bookmark). 3) Tell salvager you're ready to drop. Agree on a drop point gate, customs office, outside station etc. 4) Drop bookmarks and blue your jet can. 5) Each go on their merry way. Rinse and repeat.
