Caldari State did not give us job to do what belong to CONCORD. Harassing civilians is not our job, we are in militia for protecting Caldari State and its citizens.
Concord does not offer protection in lowsec and neither does the Caldari Navy. It is up to you the capsuleer to extend your Empires influence/presence in these lowsec areas. That being said Criminals and Pirates Blowing Up any and everything they can is an immediate threat and it is not unheard of for regular forces to deal with them in order to protect the innocent.
That being said the Caldari State did not sanction you to go to null sec and gank TEST ALLIANCE PLEASE IGNORE Plexing Carriers either so please dont go down the 'Caldari State Sanctioned Actions' argument.

Oh, my goodness this thread continues to deliver! :)
Of course Draketrain is the most influential corp in caldari FW. Honestly, there is no other corp that makes smart Gall Mill members change their shopping and travel plans in Gallente high sec. There is no other corp that has the ability to take pretty much any system they want to (with some few exceptions) when they want to. There is no other corp that, when they take a fleet out, everyone simply docks up and ignores them. Honestly, there is no other Caldari FW corp that is as well known (and hated), and that can make the map different in various ways, in the way Pervs could and Draketrain can. That's influence.
Now, otoh, there is also no other corp in Caldair FW who has members that will provide those insane rants in local, who have their head so firmly up their role playing asses that they can't actually communicate with their own, or the other, side. Draketrain is the only FW corp that is hated by almost as many Caldari corps as Gallente ones. But, give the devil his due, eh? Saying that Draketrain has more effect on in game behavior than any other Caldari FW corp is just accurate, seems to me.

Perhaps for you. Now, I have always agreed that they are smart PvPers, but influance? Not anymore. The days of their plexing alt army holding the DT advantage has subsided. But when we got a DT in our favor and were able to take advantage of it, what happened? They cry exploit and leave FW. Then they try their alt ploys on the Min/Amarr front. Ya, that worked out so well they came back to the Gal/Cal front. Without a system occupancy superiority to maximaize their DT advantage, they move into gal hi-sec exploiting NPC agrro and what influance has that had? It has forced the young to grow up faster and move into lo-sec. Other than the stigma of it being "our" hi-sec, they have almost no impact on the Gal/Cal war at all. After all, even with their massive hi-sec newb hunts, the Gal Mil still consistantly kills more of the enemy.
Annoyance? Yes. Influance? Hardly.
I will always respect their PvP ability. But their methods and "manner" leave a lot to be desired. With them, wothout them, my game has not changed... |

No flaming G6...you just give them too much credit, imho.
Smart PvPers..absolutely. But that's it. They had their "hi point" with the plexing war and then temp-emo quit FW when that house of cards fell. With their Gal Mil Loki booster alt, you have to be smarter in how they are engaged or you are wasting your time. Has nothing to do with "influance". Has to do with the fact that most of us in Gal Mil enjoy fighting and the Pervs/Train focus more on % than fighting for the fight. So therefore, the moment you can match them, they choose not to engage. Not gonna chase a rabbit for miles when there are a hoard of bulls that are looking for a fight. Also, there are many times, on both sides, in which "regular" fleets cause the other side to "dock up and do nothing".
Notariety =/= influance. They are the most talked about due to their own making (i.e. Damar and his lovely mental attributes) as well as their mechanics bending "working as intended" NPC aggro glitching in hi-sec.
Influance is physically changing something. Gal Mil was, is, and remians the better killer FW Militia on the battlefield - with and without the PERVS/Train. We - Gal Mil - have also evened the system occupancy front. You are more than welcomed to your opinion, but I do not see much "influance" except here on the forums. As I have said, with them or without them, my game has not changed...

From my experience, unless they're just playing station games in villore I think every time we've had similar numbers to go after draketrain when I've been online we have. Even if it led to some good learning experiences of how ceptors (yours specifically IIRC (which I commanded in there) ;) ) shouldn't dive into a drake gang. A lot of my current nano tactics have been learned by a combination of watching draketrain and podla in action.
Not saying it's been easy, we adapted over time and learned. But I can't recall us ever just sitting there saying the above. Maybe things are different in the EU TZ.
Originally by: Cromwell Savage We - Gal Mil - have also evened the system occupancy front.
While I agree with you on the rest - if the PERVS ever really wanted to I think they could reactivate the alt plexing army back online and use the massive dt advantage again. That's just the fault of the game mechanics, nothing we can do short of playing eve at 6am every day to counter it.

We are not Space Perverts and Forum Warriors United re-established even though there are several PERVS pilots in our roster. You should not jump into conclusions. Admittedly, there are similarities between the groups due to the capabilities and competences (yes, trolling is one) of individual pilots with both PERVS and DRAEP in their employment history. There are significant differences as well, and if you wish to overlook them, it's all for the better for our plans as well as their execution.
But I did hear on TS that PERVS2.0 is in the making, but that might have only been a rumour or a daydream of some of our alts
In order to keep up with my habit of trolling those who are friendly towards DRAEP on the fora, I would like to misquote yet again on purpose.

Yes...and I agree. But true "influance", as implied, would mean that instead of cutting and running when we "hacked" our own downtime to get the ball rolling on taking back our systems , they would have countered and stuffed us. But they didn't...

I think the easiest way to exemplify the difference between major Galmil corps and draketrain is this:
In a situation where there are two equally matched fleets both capable of blowing up each others ships, Galmil will laugh maniacally as everyones ships blow up (including their own). Draketrain will withdraw and try to find a way to gain an edge and not lose a single ship. Now whether this is being smart and tactically superior or being a coward all comes down to which side of the fight you're on.

The game mechanics would eventually limit them to perhaps 8-10 systems. As more systems are flipped, there's more chance of a respawn in those same systems during the day, which means that our non-eastern EU TZ plexers can get at them.
Clearly the after-DT advantage is huge though. If DT were during our TZ primetime then we'd have had Ladistier cleared out by now. tbh, it's a huge credit to SotF and Val Erian-led plexing crews that Nisuwa hasn't been turned back to Caldari yet.
In the end though I think they are as burned out on plexing as everybody else. Only a few diehards have the stamina to grind them day in and day out.

Chatt, back when I was still in Qcats the bulk of Gall Mill wouldn't go after the Pervs. I'll bet if you search around the old forums you can find posts were I complained about it then and argued with the notion that they were unbeatable. Good on you for being willing to do so now, you know I"m game when I'm on, but neither SotF nor Qcats are the sum total of Gall Mill. And, on the whole, Gall Mill doesn't go after Draketrain anymore than Qcats, SotF, or any other member of the former MDP ever went after the Pervs, on an ongoing basis.
Riddle me this, then you nay sayers; If Draketrain isn't the most influential Caldari corp in FW, who is? Someone's gotta have the title, who holds it if not them?

TBH, I would argue that no one Corp can be titled as the "most influental".
QCats currently has the most FW kills of any player "owned" FW corp and is the top Gallente player corp in total kills as well and will soon surpass FDU. SOTF is not far behind either. Does that make QCats the most influental? I'd say not at all. The Cal Mil still does business as usual as do we all.
When the PERVS ruled the after DT plexing front, did that affect me at all? Nope. Not one bit. Is draketrain playing NPC aggro games in Villore affecting me? Nope. Not at all.
Corps come and go. Fights ebb and flow. FW is much more than one corp and through it all, we all still play the game as we choose.

While I didn't agree/disagree with this point earlier, it does make for good discussion :)
I'd hand it to draketrain now, but only because they're wardeccing other caldari militia corps. Things have become a lot friendlier on the caldari/gallente side since they did, enemy of my enemy and all that. But I think impact would be a better term, not influence.
As far as the corp with the most influence, in the matter that what they say goes, and who can field the largest threat to the gal mil? I'd have to say Wolfsbrigade, and in no small part to First Generals ability and willingness to field large, coherent militia fleets straight from the caldari militia pool.
Then again, by the time I get to play, most draketrain are asleep, so all we usually get to throw around are words on the forums. The latest in-game interaction I got with draketrain was Bad Messenger sitting docked up in Lad filling local with smack talk while we plexed in their during our prime time since we had a spawn after a server restart. Otherwise, any influence is non-existent in my timezone.
@Beau Heem - While you may not be the pervs, the most vocal of your corp on these forums are ex-pervs, and their general shenanigans haven't changed one bit since they left. What we see are pervs doing what pervs used to do, just under a different corp ticker. With so little difference, the names get mixed up :)

Says the guy now flying drakes. ;) Add that to the list of reasons to say that Draketrain is the most influential Caldair FW corp (note the Caldari modifier, Cromwell, I'm not talking about all of FW.) A year ago most folk in Gall Mill said drakes were worthless hulls. There were Gall Mill fleets I was all but kicked out of for brining a drake. Now, because of the influence of Draketrain, everyone in vent and on boards was on about how they were using their former learning sp to skill up for drakes. Can anyone name another Caldari FW corp that has inspired Gall Mill fleet composition in that way?
In any case, we agree, Chat, and that's cool. Cromwell, I'd say it's just like the title in boxing. You may not like the heavyweight who holds the belt, they may not be good folk, but someone's gotta hold the belt. I don't know of any other Caldari FW corp who has the influence that Draketrain does. They demonstrated the worth of drakes and we've emulated their strategies. They've moved into Villore, moving more Gall Mill into low sec. They **** Gall Mill members off so much that simply talking about them inspires silliness, as in this very exchange. And so on. Again, if you had to name one Caldari FW corp as having the most influence, who would it be?

Yeah, it's clearly what happens at every downtime so why have we not retaken Intaki in these couple of days?
One good thing did came out ot it. CCP has failed less in patch deployments and there has yet to be "Incursion Infamy" in this regard.
But you can now do the usual gallente response. That is to say loudly the following things: "Lol plexing!" "Damar exploits" and "GORP!". (last one is very important)

I didnt initially plan to retake anything in Black Rise but eventually things just happened. Mainly to demonstrate the flip-side of the gallente-demanded plex boost which gives original system holder advantage here and stop Val/Seriph and you high-fiving each other in forums ("Supply lines severed, Oinasiken taken, damn I rule" post you made)
Nisuwa would just become an endless swamp for me to waste time and force me to be there after every downtime so no real reason to bother really. Occupancy backed by actual corp living there usually means that. Same thing would happen if you would manage to re-take Ladi/Vifre at some point due to another "Dominion Debacle". We would eventually take it back.
There is another reason not to bother with Nisuwa. I showed militia how easy it would be to actually flip the occupancy and give them something to do. They wont do it of course because they lack the motivation, skill and determination. So this is where we are right now and US tz militia is a delivery boy for gallente militia because people put more important to "fun" than killing enemies. They find something to kill, their first reaction is to call Gallente.
This is not the Caldari militia of the old times.

What you really are trying to say here is:
We dont have numbers, patience or determination to handle long term sustained attack on Draep occupancy zones so we will pray for server reboots at optimal times and that gods of CCP give us enough plexes so we can flip systems without facing other opposition than npcs and in two hours time before the parents put us to bed.
Nice try but unfortunately we always run down enough plexes in them every day to make sure one server reboot that adds plexes on top of other plexes will not be enough to flip them.
I could read the map though. Take dozen or so plexes in Ladi/Vifre, then send your entire militia on plexing runs across space to get more respawns.
Well, didnt work out for you but hey, you got over 10k plexing points in a day. You must feel proud
And to give last jab on bugged Jovainnon plex. You admit it yourself that sentinel could not handle npc aggro in plex. Yet you went in and bggged the timer. That's quite convinient isnt it?
