Hi all,
My first post on the forumes, and new to EVE only started playing about a month or so back.
One of my very long term goal is to fly a Avatar and casue some serious havoc doing so
My question is where do get one IE: I looked on the region markers in Amarr and have not seen them on the price list. Was wondering what one would go for?
Or do you need to have one made for you?
Thanks BuzzSA

They are built in a "Capital Ship Assembly Array" in a Player Owned Station (POS)
I'd advise you to lower your sights a bit, it's gonna be years before you will be in that position.

Check contracts. You probably still won't find any though, as they are usually built to order, and can only be built (and defended while building) by a large alliance.
A wild guess on price would be 18 billion ISK.
Most people don't train for a titan or super-carrier on their main account, as the ships cannot be docked and are too valuable to leave floating in a POS bubble, so the character is forever trapped in it. These are strategic ships with limited use as well. They require a fleet to deploy and are very expensive to lose.
Keep in mind some people never train for anything larger than a frigate or cruiser.

Ok , some info for u :
1) Time - it will take alot of time ( we talking about year + ) 2) Isks - U will need Capital ships skill which is around 90 mil isk and amarr titan which is 5 bil 3) Titan can be build only in 0.0 in player controled teritory on POS 4) Your only chance to buy it is 3-rd party like Chribba or Darkness( not sure how many -s- ) and forums
U can find titans for sale for approx 70-90 bil isk , depends on fitting and stuff . U will need 3-rd party cuz the only way for u to get in the ship is to board it . So while u will be transfering isks to 3-rd party after u will be able to take a ship and a seller gets money from 3-rd party . fair and no scam. 3-rd parties do take a little charge for it .
5) U will be able to fly around only by jumping on cynos , and low sec and 0.0 only 6) Without support or solo u = fresh meat -> target -> boom -> no more titan .
Sorry for spelling if it's wrong , eng not my language ))
That's approx u need to know . --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lower your goals, m8.
Titans are ships usually owned by alliances, not by single pilots, for good reason (price!). Also titans are not good value for money, when it comes to combat. They are often used for logistic purposes only.

I would stay out of lowsec with your battlecruiser until you have more experiance unless you are part of a corp with established lowsec operations. As a new player know that almost everyone in lowsec will be more experianced then you, have better ships/fittings then you, have more assets to back up the loss of any ships, and many will probably spend their time hunting you down if your in local. If you must go into low or nul sec then do it with a ship that you can easily replace and expect to lose it.

Well, the reason you don't see them on the market is that they must be built in space, and cannot dock. (The only other "supercapitals" like this are the Supercarriers, aka Motherships). So, they are generally sold through the forums -- check out the Sell Orders and Want Ads to get a sense of the price. They are usually somewhere around 70 or 80 billion if I remember right.
Contrary to what some have said, those kind of numbers are attainable to private individuals, but the only people making that kind of ISK on their own are industrialists and traders who spend most of their time docked in a station working with spreadsheets. If you have the kind of personality to play that kind of game for a couple years without rest, you'll be able to get there.
Many of the Titan pilots in game, however, got their ship by leveraging the work of others -- for example, by creating and leading a successful corporation or alliance.

If you like the whole "big ship blowing crap up" thing then might I suggest looking into Dreadnoughts? They're far more practical for "hotdrop skirmishing" and can be tucked away safely in a station. _______________________

I know of several people who have their own Titans. It's not an impossible task.
Some of the things they've done to afford them are:
POS Reactions, Character training and trading, Manufacturing high-end stuff like T2 ships, stations trading.
It has taken them a very long time and a lot of dedication though. Even with all the ISK saved up, it takes time and effort to obtain one. Chribba and Darknesss are two of the trusted 3rd parties that deal in them. They can accept the Titan from the seller and board it, only giving the buyers ISK to the seller once they've taken possesion. Alternatively they'll accept the ISK, wait for the buyer to confirm delivery and then transfer the ISK to the seller.
Finding sellers is the bottleneck - there aren't a lot of people just building Titans on spec, without a buyer in mind.

You sure that's the reason you won't find them on contracts?

Titans cost perhaps...65-80 billion isk. Not counting, of course, the years of training, the implants, the actual skill needed to fly it, the logistics train driving it, the alliance to make a support fleet to help, the sovereignty required to own it, the luck that nobody discovers you're building one and kills the POS...you get the picture.
A titan is not a "Oh I'ma solo it" kind of thing. Dreadnought, maybe (bows in Chribba's direction). Titan, hell to the no. Signature locked and removed. Zymurgist |

if your going for super caps (long term) a super carrier would be more useful. 1. it can carry alot of ships 2. its immune to ewar 3. most cap blobs now contain many of them SIG: if my message has spelling errors its cos i fail at typing properly :P |

Hi, I would suggest you do some serious thought about the whole titan deal and what your real plans are. As stated previously, they are mainly ships that are in dire need of a support fleet - and the ABSOLUTE minumum a cyno alt. Also the price is as stated in the 50+ billions.
But back on track, as for owning one, it is by no means not an impossible task if you put your mind and prepare to work hard for it - for a few years. When the time is due feel free to poke me and I'm sure I can arrenge a purchase for you.
However be prepared to get addicted once you get one...
Best of luck!
