How are we supposed to be competitive and make money if the NPC market screws over any chance we have at turning a profit?

I've found a couple of P2 things that sell at decent prices right now, but otherwise I'm just stockpiling until the market is more favorable.

I agree market is messed up right now. However, there are goods to make and make a great profit selling right now. Do some research around space where you can sell goods. I make about 15 million a day, making a few things. For about 1.5 hours of work, throught out the day.

In soviet russia, how are the NPC supposed to be competitive and make money if YOU screw over any chance they have at turning a profit?
Would you care to name all PI items that are sold by NPC right now? I'm sure it's not goign to take long.

Short version: Don't make the stuff that used to be sold by NPC, this goes down the chain as well, so don't extract p0 stuff thats mainly goes towards a p2-p3 that used to be NPC goods. Wait for the stockpiles to be used up on the NPC goods, and produce the other PI stuff instead. My guess would be the PI goods that's used as POS-fuel and in t2 production will have better prices then the ones used only for POS and POS mods.

The cat and the bag have a few AU between them at this point, but back when Tyrannis was announced, they should have "unglued" the NPC market such that the NPC buy orders for the PI things would never increase when the NPC buyer reset it. Also, and this is the key one, NPC sell orders would never lower their prices and only increase them. Thus, there would be a limited supply of "Cheap" NPC goods and as the NPCs sold to stockpilers and users, the sell price would rise a few percent each time they restocked. Then, on day-1 of PI open-season, the NPC prices could easily be beaten by PC produced goods, but those that actually needed those goods to operate could still buy them.
