Oinasiken was occupied by Federation Defence Union forces over the past weekend. With the supply lines from Federation high security space to the Federation militia's main forward operating base in Nisuwa now secured, it is expected that raids into Tama and Nourvukaiken will further increase in magnitude and frequency.
These raids, conducted by nearly all corporations in the Federation Militia, and most noticably by Bi-Polar Bears and Shadows of the Federation, have been very effective in keeping Caldari fleets bottled up in Nourvukaiken and for the most part away from populated systems in Federation territory.
The area surrounding Nisuwa has been under constant pressure by Federation militia forces for months now. Barring an organized effort put forth by State Protectorate forces, the likes of which have not been seen in months, it is expected that systems near Nisuwa will also be occupied by the end of this month.

This is good news, I guess, assuming that the State citizens in the occupied systems will be treated with dignity and respect and not interfered with in any way other than what is utterly neccessary to ensure the security of a temporary military occupation. Remember, the best outcome for this war is to use the promise of the safe return of those systems as a bargaining chip to negotiate for peace with the Caldari. Any violence or violation of the colonists in the region will only harm both sides in the long run and disrupt the chances of any sort of peaceful outcome to this war.
I call upon all members of the FDU, and Federal occupying forces, to engage only military targets in the contested systems, meaning the State Protectorate, the Provists and any hostile Caldari Navy forces. Leave civilian shipping and transport unmolested - if we want that moral highground we constantly covet, we need to set a better example than the State's occupying forces.
Remember who we're fighting, people, and why. |

Edited by: Zachstar on 08/07/2010 11:34:34 Maybe if the Caldari would leave Caldari prime and return it to rightful federation control.. This war may one day end. Hell it might end anyway if this rumored massive Sansha Nation titan backed invasion force appears. We may need that titan to stop any invasion force from reaching the heart of the primes.

No.
What the Caldari need to do is return Ladistier and Vifrevaert to rightful Federation control, in which case we'll return Nisuwa and Oinasiken in kind, and make some manner of reasonable agreement that allows them to hold Caldari Prime and all their temples, ancestral cities and the ruins of the ancient Raata empire in a manner reasonable to both sides - an agreement that allows Gallentean cities on the planet to operate under Federal authority and leaves the rest of the world to the State would be more than satisfactory. A treaty that utterly curtails Heth's racist, expansionistic attempts to seize our space in Verge Vendor, Essence and Placid and instead allows for legitimate trade and commerce to flow between our two empires.
They can keep Caldari Prime and Black Rise. We just want the rest of the Federation to ourselves. -----

Shadows of The Federation remains in our current home of Nisuwa and my pilots are under the instruction to engage only war targets and vessels who show hostilities towards us.
We look forward to continuing our efforts on our support for the Federation.
In addition I would like to thank our allies for there continued support.

Yes I am sure Caldari citizens just love the idea of not having a titan overhead in the middle of the heart of their biggest rival. No in my opinion they have no business to that planet. The Caldari need to be deported. The planet renamed and returned fully. Because what happens when the next dumbass becomes CEO of that mess?

Have you ever considered that it's opinions like this that allow pro-war sentiment to flourish? -----

Despite trying its been nearly impossible to rouse any response to the invasion. I can only hope that some of the old corperations return or a new corperation arrives to bolster the defence or pretty soon we are not going to have any systems at all.
Enjoy your victories for now,I hope they will be short lived.

No it was the Federation openess to let any Caldari Citizen go and come to Caldari Prime at will, the Federation willingness to do fair and open trade, our lack of military perparation, general peacefull sentiments, our respect for the other cultures and our policy of honoring our agreements.
To resume the Caldari took advantage of our guillibilty about their good intentions and that flared their pro-war sentiments.
That make us look weak in the eyes of the Caldari and so they attacked because they thought they could jut come in and do as they please.
That cannot happen again, Caldari Prime is Federation territory. And that Titan in orbit is just a terror tool of desperate men.
And any peace agreement were the Federation is not in a position of force will be seen as weakness by the Caldari.

You will excuse me if I'm unable to muster that much sympathy for you. However supposedly noble your justifications were, it was the Caldari who started this war, and as with any such action you most certainly reap what you sow. You occupied our systems for six months, and we fully intend to ensure that never happens again - and if that neccessitates making sure the war stays on your front lawn, then so be it.
I believe there's a philosophy among your people called "Never Again". I adopted that same philosophy as the control bunker at Intaki fell, my homeworld was liberated and the Caldari occupation was finally swept from the system. I want peace, I really do, but until that happens, I have no choice to defend Gallente space by any reasonable means neccessary. -----
