Ok, so I know this is pretty much flogging a dead horse here but, I have put a lot of time in thinking about how to properly allow super capital ships to dock, so before you go screaming no, read this and you'll understand why I've set it up like this so there is no docking games with super capitals.
1.First off it has to be a system with the super capital upgrades. 2.Players must train a skill called adv Docking 3.Must have fitted Docking computer on ship, This module can not be removed while docked in the station.
Adv Breakdown of requirements 1 Is a giving the system must have this upgrade 2 This skill should be a 14x multiplier just like all the other skills and should follow these lines
Primary Skills Required Disc: Skill at using Advance Docking computers and their understanding 12 seconds reduction per a level of Advance Docking Computer
Advanced Space ship command V Capital ship IV
3. This is a mid slot module that must be fitted before docking begins and is required to stay on the ship the whole time the ship is docked.
Item breakdown: Advanced Docking computer Disc: Due to the enormous size of Super Capital ships, Concord outlawed the Attempts of docking these massive ship to all Capsuleer. Many Corporations within New Eden have been working on ways to dock these ship. To everyone's amazement ORE came forth with an Advanced Docking computer capable of the precision maneuvers needed.
Activation time 120 seconds Cool Down time 3600 seconds (Cool Down doesn't start till ship is in space) While docking computers are fitted Ships can not be traded.
Fittings Mid Slot Cpu 650 Power grid 250,000 Can only be fitted on Super Carriers, Titans 5,000 m3
Seeing a 60 minute cool shouldn't allow these ships to play docking games. Or remove the module till the cool down time is over. If you notice they will have to off line some mods to fit the computer. This wouldn't remove the fact you'll need pos or another capital ship to refit at. So due to the heavy Draw back of using docking computers i dont see this having super capitals over powered due to the fact the can dock. We'll still need Super cap arries to build them. Having to have the module fitted will keep them from being built, and trade.

Everybody shouldn't have a supercapital. They are a very special tool for a very special job. They should stay that way. The limitation against docking is both an incentive for people not to own or fly them as well as good lore -- those things are too big to dock.
Now if you suggested a password for entering a supercapital somehow anchored in space or in a capital ship maintenance array I'd be all for it.
I'd prefer fewer supercapitals in my EVE, not more -- and I think a mechanic like this would only encourage more people to go for it. There is no "level 80" in EVE; there is no one ship to rule them all that you aspire to fly from day one. There is fleet composition and working with other pilots to put together an appropriately combined arms fleet.

"While docking computers are fitted Ships can not be traded."
Making sure that chribba won't go out of bussiness? Why trading a supercap should be risky thing? Imo from roleplay view supercap trading should be less risky than frigate trading

Not supported, I do not think this will contribute to supercap deproliferation at all. ------------------------------------- I like to fly around and shoot stuff. |

Let them dock to prevent chars being restricted to fly only one single ship. Give supercap pilots a possibility to store their ship in a safe and easier way.
To prevent any stupid docking games in pvp, especially in lowsec....figure out some heavy restrictions. Let them dock just once in 24 hours. Restrict supercap docking to 0.0 space playeroutposts. Something like this.
The talk about supercap proliferation is rubbish, since theyre already widespread all around eve. Nearly every older char got a super somewhere. Usually stored in Capital arrays (altcorps). To allow restricted docking would change nothing, except life would be a bit easier and more compfortable. Also you can use the char more flexible. Thats a good/simply change which would enhance game expierience for alot of players.

They die all the time in fleet battles, isn't about combat this is about storing the because frankly the current system for storing super capitals is a joke anyone that has pos access can steal them. So if you don't support it then come up with an idea of how to store them.

They could be given a shield like a pos that they deploy when inactive but that takes an hour to come out of. Thus protecting them somewhat? Same systems with going into re-inforced etc? (I don't really know the ships well enough to know what you're trying to achieve)

All im trying to do is get CCP to look at how broken storage of super capitals is. You either need a deep safe spot which they took away, a holding pilot, or a pos, Under the current system for pos' they are easily stolen by anyone with a pos password.

I guess all the "I want to dock my super" are finally realising what was meant when CCP designed them as alliance assets and not personal joy-rides.
Find someone to park/use it for you if you are unhappy with being tied up, don't ask for the handcuffs to be swapped out for elastic bands
If any changes are to be made to how they act it should be to ensure more of them die, not less!

Rather then having fittings on the ships (doesn't make sense to me about how a ship would dock.
We could go with something like a station upgrade that requires the super capital system upgrade. The station upgrade (Capital Docking Array - or something similar) will take up a station upgrade slot. the higher the level of the upgrade, the higher number of ships that are able to dock at that specific station. This also takes function of other upgrades out of the station so not everyone can dock at every station.
We also could make it as a destructible service on the station as a strategic tactic for the attackers and it gives the defenders something they need to protect if they want to dock up their 20bil ship
