Originally by: "The Scope" By far the worst incident was in Liberton, a relocation camp for recently freed slaves, where local media reported Sansha dropships would be landing at their location. Approximately one million refugees evacuated their settlement camp in response to the reports. Camera drones showed large crowds of refugees heading toward the bridge leading out of camp when they suddenly surged forward. During the crush, iron railings on the bridge gave way, and hundreds of people fell into the water. Many victims, mostly women, children or elderly, were crushed or drowned.
So, who is to make responsible for this?
First of all: The Scope for the false report of a Sansha attack on Pator. Second is Sansha's Nation itself, and it's despicable acts to abduct people.
But you also have to blame the Amarrians. The panic that led to this disaster at Liberton was not only created by the fear of being enslaved, but it was intensified by the fear of being enslaved AGAIN.
So here is another reason, my dear Amarrians, to set an end to this barbaric vice of yours. But knowing your twisted point of view, you will definitivly try to argue that those horrors you inflict to others with vitoc and brute force are not to make responsible for this.

ThatÆs a point of view. ThereÆs nothing more to it, just your biased interpretation of events.
Of course the "uncommon" blame thrown at the Amarr wasn't expected.
Of course it wasn't the panic from being stripped of all emotions and programmed into a Sansha emotionless walking creature that caused such fear...no! ...it was the Amarrians that provoked it!
I'am Khanid, and a holder, but none of people under my care has tasted vitoc for an extensive period of time (previous to my birth infact), they have grown amidst my family and are a responsibility we treasure (and don't come talking about forced labor! Machinery and technology is much more profitable in every way).
Whether or not you seek to understand enslavement, and how its practiced in Amarr is irrelevant. The fact that you cloud your judgment with your preconceived dogmas is of much greater importance and relevance, since in the core you are more a zealot for a belief than the most diehard Amarrian priest, and more blinded to your surroundings than a Sansha Human drone.

You sound proud of this. Do you believe forced Vitoc dependency is a barbaric practice? |

Indeed I'am proud of it. It means that those under my care are beyond the need for Vitoc, this also means that I look upon Vitoc and its uses as a necessary evil to sometimes contain those that leave no room for other methods, and I prefer to avoid it.
ItÆs in my perspective an old antiquated practice.
The kingdom as you know has different sources for Slaves than the Amarrian empire brethren, many of those forced into slavery come from criminal or outlaw verdicts given by our Judicial institutions, while others come fromàWellàCloser ethnicities.
ItÆs no secret that many of the slaves that come into the responsibility of Khanid holders do so under a very different approach to that of the Empire. If you are unaware of this you can always search a bit through the Galnet and appropriate data centers.
Best regards.

All sunshine and lollipops then eh, Nefher? Perfect politically correct slavery presented as the epitome of the paper thin enlightenment argument. Do you read bedtime stories to your slaves and tuck them in at night too?
Why don't you go to Liberton and tell all the former slaves there what the're missing? I bet they would all sell their left nugget to serve you. |

Misplaced irony mixed with sarcasm. ThatÆs your answer to the preceding statement?
Even if I disregard the impolite way in which you direct yourself to me, I cannot but ignore you for not presenting anything worthy of a better reply.
Perhaps next time you can do just like your friend above and simply start with ôAmarrians are evil and must be destroyedö and spare me the conversation.

Please excuse me for my poor manners, Nef. I admit, I was quite uncivil there. Let me make it up to you. I have such a soft spot for attractive young Khanid ladies that I would be grateful if you allowed me to apologize in person. Perhaps we could rendezvous say... on Pator near Liberton?

The Empire didn't put people in that camp.
The Republic wanted those people and its up to them to ensure that they're safely and comfortably housed.
But having said that, I'm sure that Amarr would welcome back any survivors with open arms - at least we wouldn't subject them to the sort of squalor that we see in Liberton..

Whats the point of all this member measuring and deciding who can urinate the furthest? Think for a moment about something aseide from political agendas and chest-thumping ego grooming. THIS...is exactly what the Sansha want! Amarrian pointing at Matari and vice versa...shifting the focus away from the real threat in New Eden.
Consider that the very SCOPE reporter that "broke" the news of a Sansha incursion has vanished without a trace AND that it was confirmed by eye-witnesses that someone in the crowd said they saw a Sansha drop-ship decending. We have long suspected that there were Sansha agent working covertly among the various population centers of the Empire, Republic, etc...
Isn't this rather strong evidence that we may have been right. Not that you have any reason to listen to me, but...stop ****ing on each other for a moment and think, just think.

I do agree with you that we must stand against this common threat together. But right now, while the tears of Amarrians about their friends and family having been abducted into slavery are still fresh, you must rub salt into their wounds, so that they do not forget that they did the exactly same thing to others as well. If there has ever been a chance to show the Amarrians the errors of their way of life: This is it.

The Book of the Orrl; the teachings of Vulkor, tells us that there are two kinds of creatures that dwell in the desert that is New Eden...Predators and Prey, rather than rubbing in the salt your energies and those of the rest of the capsuleer population, and Empires is better spent deciding which you are, before it is decided for you.
I have made my decision already...all that remains is for the prey to draw close enough to sting.
