So having lost my 2 billion pimped Tengu last night in a c4, I am wondering whether to replace it or go for a Nighthawk, which is much cheaper. Can someone advise how much dps and tank I would lose giong to a NH?
My tengu was fitted with a Pith A medium booster, going to try to avoid that if possible for cost reasons, dont want to lose another! Is the passive NH anywhere near as good? Can I fit it with T2 boosters if active tanked and get enough for c3's?
Any advice welcome.
Thanks

I don't see that, can you show me a fit where a Tengu has a stronger tank than a Nighthawk? I tried, I even slapped 2 LSE on a tengu with hardners and it had 10k less of a buffer with comparable resists, but differed by over 90dps tankable. Are you going completely passive? If so, or if your setup is active, honestly I'm interested in seeing the best NH fit vs the best Tengu fit that shows the heavier tank on the Tengu. |

Tengu is smaller and faster than a NH, so right there you have better tank. EFT does not give the full picture. 175m sig (active tengu, 1 extender) vs. 360m sig (passive nighthawk due to extenders). That's just what I see from there plus AB tengu, and no AB on the NH makes the nighthawk a sitting nightduck.
I armor tank, so I'm not good with shield fits, I'll let someone else post something, but that is what I see right of the bat.

You do not need a 2bn isk fit to do C4s. People love that Pithum A-type Medium Booster but the damn thing is not the only option available to you.
I would stick to C4s. Less traffic = less risk.
