Will include this in future updates or even make it configurable but until then here you go(tested on 5.0.4 installs):
http://www.iceneko.com/eve/cron_mail.zip
Was actually fairly easy to accomplish. Spammed myself and seems to work great so the spam for pointless towers should be gone.
The update will set the mailer to NOT email on towers in "Unanchored" or "Anchored" status. It will spam on all other statuses.

Hi,
Quickly the POS Silo issue is well known, eventually I'll get around to fixing silo links.
As for the other bug you reported. To put it plain and simple, you're not running my version, or if you are, it's not correctly installed/updated/etc. Info shown below.
I first duplicated your setup in ME space even as shown here: http://www.iceneko.com/eve/me_tower_test.png
As you can see, the LO shows 106 with the exact same setup on my test installation as you had in your picture. Same tower, sov and all. So a 5.0.4 install works fine on my end.
Then I noticed something that I knew immediately as you're not running my version or something isn't installed correctly because if you notice on LO and HW you have the numbers (113) next to it and not (112.5). The numbers 112.5 started showing back in my first fixes to the original POS tracker because FGV handles rounding correctly for EVE. The original POS tracker was close but not correct.
So it looks like your installation is bad or you're missing some files while upgrading towards 5.0.4.
If you have any questions please let me know.

Might be a problem with the new install. The server Mihai1 is using is a clean install 5.0.2 then updated to 5.0.3 and 5.0.4
If you look at the install_database.sql from 5.0.2, table "sovereignty_static", fields ozone and heavy_water are int(10). BUT in update 333.sql, that fields are decimal(10,2). From your screenshot it seems that you have a setup with that 2 fields as decimal(10,2). Not sure which one is right, but with decimal(10,2) seems to give better results.

Ahhh ha...did you do the 3 updates after the new install?
"FG Update for Tyrannis" "Material Volume Fix - v5.0.1" "Theme Install - v5.0.2"
Because that's still required even if you did the 5.0.2 install. Which I put in the instructions here: http://iceneko.com/eve/index.html
Sorry that it's confusing. But yes, it needs to be the decimal version. The new full on installer which is coming "soon" doesn't require all these updates as it's all integrated.

I think I might have missed one of that upgrades. Because I installed FGV-5.0.2 then upgrade to 5.0.3 and 5.0.4 and probably forgot to do FG Update for Tyrannis.
Thanks for clarification,

Bug Noted. I was going to release a simple fix for it but it looks like the item ID is incorrect for the Large Ship Assembly Array in the POS tracker, which causes a conflict when wanting to add the X-Large Ship Assembly Array. So I'll release the DB update in the next version.

Why dont you use tar.gz? RAR isnt freeware
Also whats with the upgrade bladibla right after install? why not make a unified install package that is current, makes things a lot easier for everyone, without necessarily meaning a lot of extra work for the dev.

Ewww. I don't like that. Not one bit good sir. Is it possible for you to go down to php 5.2? Tracker hasn't been made to support php 5.3+ so I'm guessing there maybe a few things like this laying around. I'll add it to the list of todo fixes(which is getting quite long lol). Yeah it looks like the phpmailer that came with the tracker is version 2.2.1 and the latest version is 5.1 so it's a ye bit out of date I see here.

Edited by: amida kannon on 03/02/2011 07:21:40 OK...so for some reason I'm no longer getting email alerts sent out for POSs that are in online status and below 24 hours of fuel.
I cannot figure out why. I did just recently completely remove and do a fresh install of pos-tracker since my 'upgraded' version of FGV wasn't doing some calculations.
my cron scripts still run with no problems, but I cannot figure out why emails are not being generated at all???
Any idea on where I should start looking to debug this?

EDIT: doh! I forgot to copy over mailconfig.php from my old install to the new install....that would certainly explain why mails were not going through!
Just a suggestion...you might want to add a note about configuring mailconfig.php to your installation instructions. I just followed your fresh install instructions and thought I was sweet...I completely forgot about the mail configuration bit.
Also, I think I found a minor bug in the pos3_user table...it was missing the Theme_ID field so I could not customize my theme and have it 'stick'. I manually added that field in and now it all seem sweet.
php 5.2.4
The Theme_ID means you're missing an update. Make sure you do all 3 updates eve on a fresh install. The upgrade packages were not pushed in with the full install. The final update maybe in error now due to the manual add but if you are able to switch themes you can just ignore that update. But please make sure to do the other two if you haven't otherwise calculations will be off.
# Navigate to http://example.com/pos/upgrade.php # Select: "FG Update for Tyrannis" from the list and select Next. # Select: "Material Volume Fix - v5.0.1" from the list and select Next. # Select: "Theme Install - v5.0.2" from the list and select Next.
As for the fyi notes on installation and stuff. Yeah 100% agree with the helpful tips. I'm working on putting in a help section within the tracker. It should help alleviate a lot of questions I get and help people do correct installations that work for them.

Edited by: Frozen Guardian on 13/02/2011 20:42:43 5.1.1 Beta 1 Released
Please note some fun information: It's a beta for a reason. Due to such huge changes on how the POS Tracker's access system now works there may be some bugs that you hate. If you do not feel comfortable with installing updates I recommend you wait.
If you upgrade your tracker, you will have to redo everyone's access. Complete details on how to give someone access is listed in the new help section in the tracker. There is currently no way to have "sub-admins" right now like directors were in the previous version(this will change in the future most likely). So you will probably want to make sure cron jobs are setup for doing API pulls.
If you come across a bug not listed or talked about here or on http://code.google.com/p/pos-tracker-eve/issues/list let me know in some way shape or form.
Update and Full Installer is here: http://www.iceneko.com/eve/index.html. The newest full installer contains all previous patches so no more DB updates after a full install.
Downloads now come in 4 formats: .7z, .rar, .tar.gz, & .zip! If for some reason you can't find one you like then I dono anymore.
Version 5.0.4 to 5.1.1 Beta 1 Changes: * Complete re-write of the POS-Tracker's access system. Administrators/CEOs now have far greater control of what a user can and cannot do in the tracker. * Corporation Jobs Added. * Charters now have optimal correctly. * Fixed Session Security Hole. * Admin page now checks for install.php which should be removed/renamed for security reasons after installation is complete. * Fixed Show Stront Timers from accidentally showing while sorting POS Track listing. * Mailer updated to NOT email about towers in "Unanchored" or "Anchored" status. It will spam on all other statuses. * Directions added for Updating Corp/Alliance on User Page. Page needs to be trusted otherwise corp gets set to null. * Central Version File Added. * Version check added on Admin Panel. * Help page added which is accessible in the footer. * Tracker now properly supports multiple corporations. * Missing Session Variable Added. - Thx Salvoxia
--- First bug: I apparently do not know how to spell the word accessible. Sigh.

This is a great tool, but I am struggling to set up the tool to track reactions. Part of the issue is I am not sure what the tool is suppose to do in this regard so its a big hard for me to reverse engineer how is should be configured. Is there a manual for this tool, or at least and example of a properly configured reaction?
Here some examples of my confusion/questions:
What is the difference between "connected to" and linked? the config asks for both.
Input / output is with reference a reaction right? It is common to have silo's with both inputs and outputs. What then?
Is starting amount required or can you just let the API catch it up?
Thanks,

Hi,
It's a bit confusing unfortunately. It's something I'm going to look at during this next update soon as I've had a lot of questions about setting this up. I've gotten several help requests of people who are just a bit confused like yourself. So don't worry, you're not the only one :P Example of a simple setup: http://www.iceneko.com/eve/images/reaction_1.png
So details:
CCP currently does not provide any API data for silos/reactions/what's in and out at towers. It's all manual.
So in our example here lets say we are making lovely Caesarium Cadmide...mmm tasty. So you need 2 input(provider) silos and 1 output(receiver) silo. So input, "provides" to the complex reactor array, and output is what the reactor shoots out... it "outputs" are put in the output silo.
You need to then set their Connected to: to the Complex Reactor Array that is making Caesarium Cadmide. Lastly you have Linked To: which allows you to link Silos together. So like you have two silos that provide Cadmium, which then it consumes away after the first one is empty. (note that there are bugs to silo linking in the POS tracker that I hope to get fixed soon so I recommend you avoid it if possible.) So in the example, if we were to add another Silo to provide more Cadmium, and lets say the new Silo ID is 30. Then when setting up that Silo, you put: 21 in the Linked To as this is the next silo it will pull from. Then if you wanted a 3rd silo, you would put it's linked to, 30 and not 21 because you need to "chain" them together. So we added another silo with ID 31 and this is what is basically looks like:
31->30->21->Reactor
Hopefully this helps out and makes sense.

In fact you can get information about silos and what's in it via the api - by fetching the corporation's asset list. What you cannot do is assigning the silos to the reactions. That would be up to the user, but once that is done you can could update the contents of the silo via the API. And THAT would be real cool! |

I have this error when the Cron run's: Fatal error: Call to undefined function ADONewConnection() in /xxx/xxxx/unpredictablecarnage.com/pos/includes/dbfunctions.php on line 71
Is there any way to fix this so the POS info can be automagically updated? the other Cron job's run without error's just this one which seems strange

Although that's true, the assets api is cached for 1 entire day, so if you go and mess with a starbase right after it happens to update, it will be wrong for the rest of the day.

You're welcome :)
You sure the others are actually working correctly? I've seen this error before and I can't look into it until I get home. However, I think it was due to the fact that the cron job was trying to run in PHP4 and not PHP5 because it couldn't handle ADOdb related items, thus the error.

Well that's what's so strange I have PHP 5 enabled on the server as EDK 3.1.8 requires that also. I have just looked at the postrackercron.sh too see if I have done something different but it is all correct, so I still find it a bit of a mystery as to why the poscron.sh doesn't work.
The only thing that is different between:
cron_updatesov.php & cron_updatealliance.php vs. cron_updatepos.php
Is the final line:
$results=$posmgmt->API_UPDATEAllPOSES();
Should that not be: $posmgmt->API_UPDATEAllPOSES(); ?

Yes that is correct so no issue there. I would make sure the .sh files are correct. I just duplicated it, if I switch the cronjob to use PHP4 I get the error you are seeing. 100% Exact. When turning PHP5 back on, it works wonderful. So most likely it's running PHP4 for the cron job.
