I was leaving for about a month and a half so I didn't renew my account when I left but still had 20 days worth of play time left on my current month. I queue'd up what turned out to be 28 days worth of training skills then left the game to run it's course.
When I returned just recently I reactivated my account and logged in to find that nearly no training had taken place. As a matter of fact only about 1 or 2 shorter skills that had been queue'd had actually finished (looking at the skill history tab). However when I logged back in my skills started training again immediately.
Now before anyone says the obvious....yes I DID hit "Apply" before I left over a month ago, I made that mistake once and there was no chance I forgot this time, I made absolutely sure the queue was applied. What was weird as well was the fact that, as stated above, as soon as I reactivated my account and logged in, within a minute or 2 one of the shorter skills finished training and that's actually what caught my attention that something was wrong...since if things had been going correctly all the short skills would have been finished and I'd still have about 10 days left on Battlecruisers level 5.
So anyway, that's my problem. Has anyone else had this problem or know what might have caused it? I have a petition in but we all know how long the devas take to get back to us.

If your account deactivated in the middle of training, training will only continue for a couple of days before stopping.
If this isn't what happened to you, I waiting for your petition to be responded to. You can add more information to it if you think of anything without losing your place in the queue. A GM will be able to research your skill training concerns.

An issue I had a few months back is a skill finished while my account was inactive (during the 3 day grace period). However when I next logged in the skill had reset back to 0%. Quick petition and they soon confirmed a problem and set my skill to the correct level.

This matter is actually slightly different then both those examples. I had started up by queuing 23 hours worth of shorter skills, maybe 10 different skills total, and then assigned Battlecruisers (level 5) as my final skill which gave about 28 days of total training time. At that point my account still had about 20 days with of subscription time left, then I left. So if all went as it should have then all the shorter skills would have finished and my subscription would have ended when Battlecruisers (level 5) had about 8-10 days remaining to completion.
What happened was I returned and reactivated my account I found that only 1 of the approx 10 short skills I had queued were completed, training had stopped right after the 1st one finished. Strangely though my skills were still training as if I had just turned the computer off before I left.
This is what baffles me because I know for a fact I had hit "Apply" to the skill queue before I left. As a matter of fact I spammed the button just to make sure.

Edited by: Estel Arador on 13/07/2010 23:38:30 This has happened before and will happen again, as CCP has yet to fix the issue (I assume they're aware of it). The skill queue does not work properly when the account expires (more properly, finishing skills does not work properly when the account expires, and that probably has an effect on the skill queue).
You should get the SP you missed from the GM answering your petition (as others have before).

I had this same problem a week ago. I was spamming apply and all. No, account is not expiring. It trained some short skill but then stopped for no reason.
I don't know if it's because of messing with the order of skills back and forth but spamming apply doesnt help. Weird stuff.

you guys need to click harder. It's not the quantity that matters but rather the quality of your mouse click.

Well it's nice to see there are other people that have had the same problem. Makes me feel like I'm not the only one getting screwed

You will not get screwed, GMs are dead serious when it comes to SP or account time (personal experience). I am sure it will be solved favourably. _______________________ Drink Eau du Nichup«, the taste of heaven. Now available as Nichup Citrus« as well! |
