Is there any reason why Essence and Genesis (for example, there may be other regions as well) are not listed on buy/sell orders?
Or am I a complete nub and missing something? I like the site and cruise through a bunch of zones on main and alt alike and actually have credit for doing uploads from those regions, but somehow it seems those results never get translated to the results pages....? |

They haven't been uploaded.
This is quite an interesting site, as well as quite useful. I have been using it for a week or two now. Only thing is the length of time it takes to update things, but in all aspects it gives a great breakdown of things to see where improvement can be made as well as a decent outlook on the market as a whole. Apologies if this is the wrong place to file a bug report - but I really like the program and want to feel that I am adding to its usefulness.
I keep failing to upload to the server, both from my cache and from my marketlogs - any ideas?

For the benefit of any others who happen to be looking for a solution to this problem - I found it.
When I copied and pasted the Token, I included a space at the end, and hadn't picked this up.
Deleted the space and the error is solved.
Bit of a Noob error I know.

Edited by: Ilarra on 26/08/2010 19:15:09 Edited by: Ilarra on 26/08/2010 19:14:03 Really appreciate the work you guys have done with the site. However, I've been running into some problems when trying to import volume data from the XML.
What I'm trying to do is import a week's worth of data for several items into a spreadsheet using an ImportXML function. My XML query looks something like:
=ImportXML("http://www.eve-metrics.com/api/history.xml?type_ids=11172,11174®ion_ids=10000032&days=7", "/evemetrics/type/region/history/day/@movement").
This gives me a single row array with the 7 day volumes of each item for each type ID. I then parse for the items by separating every 7 values into a row. Unfortunately, in situations where an item has a gap in the volume history, this method does not work.
For example, let's use a simple example and say I am querying for two items, with the following volume histories.
Item 1
Day 1= 5 units sold Day 2= 0 units sold Day 3= 3 units sold
Item 2 Day 1= 1 units sold Day 2= 2 units sold Day 3= 3 units sold
If I query for these two items, my array will end up looking like (5, 3, 1, 2, 3) - when ideally it would be (5, 0, 3, 1, 2, 3).
As a result, I am having an extremely hard time trying to get my spreadsheet to pull volumes for multiple items using a single query. Since I am dynamically determining the type IDs that get pulled, it's not practical to break them out into multiple spreadsheets, and I am also stuck with multiple ID queries because of the limited number of ImportXML calls available in google docs.
Ideally, you'd be able to tweak the API to return a 0 value for items that have a gap in their sales volume history, but I don't know how practical this is. Alternately, I could very easily be missing a simple workaround/solution for this problem, as my spreadsheet skills are somewhat lacking. Any suggestions?

Been working fine here for me. Go to it using a OOG browser and install the SSL from there. IGB uses the Certificate store of your OS - not a different one (so it's more likely to be a problem your end than something with EVE-Metrics). ---------- EVEStuff.net - High Quality Corp & Alliance Web Hosting |

I also have this problem. I can log in to EVE-Metrics ok with all the browsers on my system (win xp sp3) apart from the IGB, which gives this error. I have no problem logging in to other SSL sites with the IGB. Simple process of elimination assures that there is a problem with the combination of EVE-Metrics and the IGB with regards to SSL <edit> at least on some systems...<edit>

I have a suggestion to remove not available through market items (Officer, Deadspace, Faction) from "Upload Suggestion" script.
There are no orders for those items anyway. Removing those items will vastly decrease market scanning process and will make a little bit happier all of us :)

Is the automated market checker from in-game browser approved for use by CCP?
Oh, and great looking site btw ;)

Is the previously reported "wrong API key in the system" problem solved? I.e. is there a way to delete an API key that's stuck in loading?

It appears that it has not been fixed, and I heard that the project has been placed on the backburner. I have sent two emails to their support address, but with absolutely no response.
It's sad, because I think Metrics beats Central hands down. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispy_dingo http://krispydingo.com |

As you may easily find out with some Eve Search, Eve Metrics Author has been quite hit by CCP's statement about their "18 months", you may find what he said about EvE Metrics after that.
Something alike seems to happen at EvE Central as well, I am trying to contact his admin since Aug 2010 with no results. - Auditing & consulting

Here's a statement from Ix Forres:
Quote:
Speaking as a developer, I stopped actively working on my sites months ago but still pay a not insignificant (~ú100/mo) amount to keep them running with next to zero income from the community via donations. I keep them up because the community uses them and I hope finds them useful, but realistically there's no other reason for me to keep running it.
