Well today or tomorrow I'll be in one and I have a great setup, but I don't know how to find all the named shield boosters on EFT. Im running 4 cap rechargers, an xl booster, boost amp, 2 invuln.
Is there any way to fit a painter in there and keep it stable also? This is clearly a signature. |

You can fit some Capictor Power Flux thingies in the lows to help with cap stability, but why does your Scorp need to be cap stable?

I'm assuming this is for PVE.
You can try putting damage specific hardners on instead of the 2 invulns. You will save cap, but should also have better resist against those 2 damage types.

Your mistake is in trying to make an XL booster cap stable. Use a smaller booster. Personally, I like a pair of small Pithi B-types. --- This doesn't even seem to be a regular case of rats fleeing the sinking ship. Seems more like the rats are on fire, the ship is on fire, and the sea is full of drunk Russians. - Jacob Etienne |

Deadspace XL Shield booster may help too, as some are less greedy on cap.

Edited by: Veliria on 19/07/2010 20:53:58 Trying to make a regular or CN/Pith XL booster run cap stable is pointless. The amount of stable cap needed to provide that is generally found purely on Amarr ships with all midslots filled with cap rechargers. If you want to keep the XL booster, fit a cap booster and use the remaining slots for something useful. You don't have to perma tank the entire mission long, just when you get hit by the rats.
The alternative is to use less cap intensive boosters, Gist types or regular Large boosters are what you need for that.

Really there is zero need to have it be cap stable, especially with an XL booster. You pulse an XL when you need shield, it doesn't need to run constantly. The important thing is that it's fine without the booster on, which it should be anyways.
Unless you want an afkmobile you're better off using your lows for things like BCUs to help improve the ships damage output. The ship has more than enough tank to handle L4s without cap stability. Without knowing what else is on your fit, you could opt for CCCs in the rig slots. Just looking at what you've posted though, you can get much larger tanks out of the Scorp than what you have if you're worried about defense.

To the above.
cap stable is underated You get 2 huge benefits of being cap stable.
1) You are safe from disconnects 2) You can earn more isk/hour using contracts and remote daytrading and marketing, letting them cover your Ship HP and 3/4 of the screen.
This is what i realised from being cap stable. You can be cap stable by using gist-a large, pithum c/a mediums but you need to sacrifice some slots.
