Hello. How they work? To be specific: was experiencing 0.0 and in two cases, while I was jumping from gate A to gate B I was dragged by a couple of small mobile warp disruptors. Fine, but what seems odd to me is that the disruptors where placed aprox 50-60 km away from gate B and in a position not between gate A and B. So why I was dragged by a sphere with an effective range of 5km which is placed 60 km away from my warp in point? To further expand my question, after I exited their field I warped to a planet and then jumped back to the gate (B), but surprisingly I was not dragged by the disruptors. Thanks

It needs to be in line with your warp vector..
so it can be infront or behind the gate aslong as it is along the line you are warping. I'n not sure about the range, some say 150km from the intended land spot, others say 100 or the hole grid.. i don't know.
That also explains why you were fine warping from planets.
So for short, for you to get dragged into a bubble it must: 1 be online before you enter warp 2 be on the same grid as your intended land spot (we can say that much read above) 3 be on the same line you are warping along.

What Roberts said, and I confirm the range for the effect is grid. That's usually about 250km, but can be stretched out. _______________________ Drink Eau du Nichup«, the taste of heaven. Now available as Nichup Citrus« as well! |

This is one good reason to avoid warping gate-to-gate in unknown null-sec space. Warping to a planet or other celestial that is off of that direct line prevents you from getting dragged by a drag bubble. You're just lucky no one took advantage of the successful trap. -- My typical ship fit:

I've personally found the effective range to be highly variable. Anywhere from 100 km to the entire grid. Oddly enough with bubbles at the same distance from the destination, but in front of different celestials, had different effective ranges.
I have a large T2 bubble that doesn't catch anything >100km even if you warp directly through the center of it, and another large T2 one that catches everything at any range if you even warp through the very edge of it.
