2 ideas, please give me some feedback if these of been brought up before and I will request this to be locked.
1. New module that will be activated on corpses in space, very similar to salvaging wrecks. You will gain a 1/3 to 1/2 of the implants that were in that capsuleer, still a chance of gaining nothing at all.
Idea is to make podding someone worth the sec hit in empire and get a little bit of reward for catching the pod in the first place. Will hopefully lower some prices on the really high end implants with them being reused.
2. New module to be able to scan someone's pod, similar to ship/cargo scanners, to see what implants they currently have.
Would be VERY useful when attempting to ransom a pod because at the moment its really a guessing game based off of age, sec status and employment history. Also, working in tandem with option 1 you have the ability to know that even if you do podkill them you may still gain something out of it.
Thinking that each one would get a new skill book to train for to be able to use properly with cybernetics and science at X lvl as a prerequisite.
Good? Bad? Needs work? Let me know.

1) suggested multiple times a month 2) Never suggested but I suspect technically impossible due to the nature of "pods" and the way the eve servers operate.

Ah ok, fair enough, I took a look at commonly proposed ideas but didn't see it there. Must not have looked hard enough.
Thank you.
Edit: Care to elaborate on what you put for number 2? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Come shoot at me, I live in Heimatar. Please? |

Hm. Maybe not impossible, but it would take a lot of work.
It would, essentially, creating modules for your toons into which you would slot the implants (kinda like the way to slot a gun onto a ship). When you're podded, the system would randomly decide whether to put some (or all or none) of one's implants into the same sort of setup as wrecks (you open the wreck and there it is).
or something like that. It's a rough description...

IMO- maybe, but it should have a HIGH probability of implants degrading at least 1 level; +5s become +4s, high grade set implants become low grade, low grade become +2s, etc.... That way, you can get something from podding, but you aren't pretty much guaranteed to make a couple hundred mil from somebody wearing +5s, you might instead just get some +4s or +3s or something (still good money, but not AMAZING).

Agreed, I was also thinking that it might be too much of an isk maker but would add some fun. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Come shoot at me, I live in Heimatar. Please? |

1. What you are suggesting would require a lot of coding and database usage that is unnecessary. It would require every corpse to store all the implants weather or not some one "salvages" them. I highly doubt they would do something like that. If they were ever to do it, it would most likely be a drop, less database probably similar amounts of coding though. I don't think CCP is ever going to do this, they haven't even hinted that they would even consider it so I think all you "gimmey free implants" people are SOL.
2. If they aren't going to do 1 I don't think they will do 2 IMHO
