Edited by: Pandora Panda on 20/12/2004 14:55:00 Corp war exists for a reason. It exists so that people cannot annoy someone, then hide in high security space under the NPC gank squads. Part of creating a corp is accepting that you may be declared on. If you want complete safety, you need to stay in an NPC corp.
I have little sympathy for you, either learn to fight (frigates are so cheap they might as well be free) or disband. I dont really care either way. I'm sorry you cant hide under the NPC gank squads, but thats your own problem.
Incidentally, since youre a pod pilot in a PC corp, CONCORD doesnt have to do **** for you. If you want to talk RP reasoning, they really shouldnt defend anyone outside the NPC corps, but you can imagine the whining response to that. -------------------------------------------- CONCORD: Kneecapping Pilots for Misdemeanors Since 2003 |

Theres 2 sides to co-ordinating fleet fights as u should know. Organisation & Offense. Organisation & Defense.
Theres jack all wrong with accessing ones members tactical descissions, co-ordination and fleet command roles. No better way to do this than to be the dominating corp in a senario in order to develop certain skills in war.
When it's time to access the flip side of the coin then, yes, we will be fighting PvP corps, which my friend we have in the past.

I find the ppl who declare war on those not looking for it, or pirates in general why cry about smack talk to be simply, ignorant...
If you are attacking someone who wants no part of it, expect to be called names, if you can't handle it, go fight someone who will appreciate your efforts...
Don't cry about smack talk if you are the aggressor... ------------------------------------------------ "for piece sakes!" |

Ok so lets get this straight this game is for bigger players who started when it came out to go arounnd bulling newer players?? So how is that good for ccp? You want PvP cool goto .4 or lower. If you don't want PvP then stay in .5 or higher, simple right?
Now to avoid all that, a pirate corp just has to declare war and there ya go, no more sec hit or concorde blowing you up. Pretty good if you ask me. I could understand if we had gone into their space blown up a ship or two then ya war it is, but we did nothing but exist.
So I'm stuck in this game for another 6 months cause I paid in advance on my 2 accts, but I gotta say that if a person doesn't want PvP it should be his choice, not the choice of a bully. As for "its the nature of the game", no its not, its the nature of the people playing the game. So think about that before you say "leave cause this game is harsh", you make it harsh. What does that say about you?
In the end its all the same I guess even in a virtual world we fight. Thats pretty sad really

Edited by: Hygelac on 20/12/2004 18:24:24 Ok first up kids, this isn't an exploit it's the way the game works. All new corps have to deal with this at some point in their lives, you should listen to the advice given by the people telling you to enjoy yourselves. Jump into a load of Frigates and keep hammering at them until you start to get a few kills. It's great fun and damned cheap!
If this is not for you, then there are other options. The easiest one is to form a new corp and move everyone over. You can change corps faster than they can declare war!!! They'll get the picture eventually and get bored.
Finally you can all just disband and go back to your starter corps for a while until the heat is off.
By starting a Corp, you're declaring yourselves capable of standing on your own two feet. It might be a better idea to give up on starting your own corp until you have a little more experience. The Eve world can be vicious at times.
One final thing that will help you. Read This! It is an invaluable tool for your first steps into PvP (it's a little out of date now, but still very good)

Spit you are full of it. We made it very clear to you that we were outraged when you declared war on us. Of like mind indeed!! If you wanted pvp experienced would you not go against a corporation who had some pvp experience? You saw an easy oppurtunity to practice legal piracy. I may have been mistaken about this game I agree. I thought there was a place in it for non-pvp players. So to all who read this be aware that if you want to peacfully exist in eve-online, give it up and go play World of Warcraft like I am thinking of doing.

If i may quickly add my own little piece
PIRATES, as u keep calling us, make their living in EVE by:
Killing for ISK Ransoming ships and pods
As we have neither demanded isk from you or ransomed any of your ships or pods, i don't think we qualify as pirates.
Any pirates out there feel free to correct me if i am wrong (i am not a pirate, so accept that i may have missed a few points)

The Developers need to set up pvp and non-pvp areas for those of us that have no wish to fight pvp now or ever. The war declared on my corp has cost me a ship, implants, corp, friends. So it is part of the game to be schoolyard bullies. I say let these bullies go out to 0.0 space and DIE!!!!!!!. A lot of my friends are leaving the game. I can't, I paid for a year. So I am stuck being in a newbie corp all alone without friends to talk to or to play with.
SO if it is the aim of ending this game for a bunch of us YOU DID IT!!!! I am not and I will not play these war games! These bullies really think that they are helping us. GET REAL!!!!! All that they have done is ruin my game for me and my friends.

It amazes me that people defend, indeed, condone this type of behavior. There are people who buy this game to have fun. If that includes mining and manufacturing, then god damn it, let them mine and manufacture. The people who get fun from ruining other's fun are among the lowest, most dispicable kind of human being this planet has ever seen.

You know, everyone has been through this at some point or another. Having played the game off and on from day one (and beta before that) I can't count the number of times a corp I was a member (or CEO) of was declared on by either enemies more developed or less developed then us.
Truth of the matter is, this is a function of the game. EVE is built on a PvP foundation. One suggestion would be to see if you could possibly recruit some experienced PvPers (Mercs in a sense) who will be happy to have someone to shoot at (IE - The corp you are unfriendly with now).
If you want some real security, apply to join an alliance and move out to 0.0 space. Would be interesting to see if your would-be attackers manage to get past the chokepoint guards.
In all honesty, just have a good time with it. Go out, get yourself some cheap ships (suggested before) and go lay the smack down. Sure, you'll get killed. If the enemy is of a good mindset maybe you won't get podded. But you can always have fun with it as long as both you and the other corp are mature enough. Judging from the title of this topic I'm willing to bet not.
