Somehow doubt it, but even if that were true, it would be their own fault for not checking that the subs/mods were online in station before being teleported to the AT system. |

as a member of the team, i heard that on ts during the fight, but imo we lost simply because we got overconfident, made mistakes and didnt pull this fight off as well as we did vs godfathers for example. imo this was a setup we shouldve beaten easily but didnt, well done verge, but i really feel that we mostly have ourselves to blame for ******* it up. /r |

To be fair there is a fairly rare bug where pilot skills are "forgotten" and not applied to the ship after a move sometimes thats only solved by relogging... if it was a problem that was brought up and CCP didn't let them resolve it then thats pretty poor - but as the VoC guys said there was plenty of time when they could have brought that up and got it solved if it did really happen. |

yer the Exodus match I arrived with 4 mods offline - checked over 9000 times before we moved so they were fine before then. Just about had time to sort it , albeit at the loss of many boosters which led to some scary moments when neuted |

Most underestimate piloting skill when they take set ups into consideration. What might work for some or vs some might not work well for others. Take Darkside., they fought us with a minnie rush vs our high dps gallente set up and failed. Darkside. have great pilots not to take anything away from them, but we managed to win a similar fight vs Rote. high dps gallente with our minnie rush set up. VoC has tons of great pilots that were able to compete and practice against, not to mention are used to flying in small gangs relying on each other to over come the hiccups. Not everything goes according to plan and regardless of that bonus tengu I still feel HUN had a very strong team and could have won had they did a few things differently, if it were reversed im positive VoC would have came out with a win. |

In the semi-finals when i got transported i had no overview and the background was all black. I told the FC... he told the GM .. and i had time to relog and all was fine. In the finals there was 10 mins + to sort out any problems after beeing moved. CCP was very permisive on this. They even moved a fleet member that dc-ed before the fleet was moved. and he got moved after the main group. Always check the mods 9000 times before and after you are transported.
Anyway, great run HUN... awsome tournament... cant wait for you next year, as im sure it will be greater |

Is why I always route for the underdog. The mega alliances get out of practice for the small gang. Even during practice, you cannot practice the unpredictable. You guys live the small gang and having to adapt and know how to handle it. Personally, I think you had the advantage for this reason. PL, Test alot of the other favorites I am sure have the small gang runners, but they survive in large gang. GJ guys! |

Congratulation to Verge again.
As much i know about it, the tengu subs didn't worked well. The only think you can check if you watch it again, that the tengu's missle don't fly enought far. (like 30-50km) Also, because those are subs and not mods there are no way you can reallize it if its not working.
Anyway. The tournament over. I'm satisfied with the result. See you on the Alliance Tournament XI. |

Verge did their homework and brought a great counter which worked like a charm. Having the Tengu there would have changed the course of the match but not necessarily the outcome. Enjoy your win, Verge, you deserved it! |

Just an idea, how about if the two team does the fight on Sisi once more, same pilots, same fits. Would be interested to see, what would happen. |

Guys, to clear things up: every module seemed to be online in the highs/mids/lows. The problem was: the subsystem's bonuses simply didn't apply: so basically it was flying a tengu with 50km range, 200dps, 0 gang bonuses. I had absolutely no feedback, that the subsystems were down. The only way to detect this error would have been: clicking show info on my launchers, multiply missile flight time with missile speed and see if its over 120+ km. Don't tell me, that you did that all on all your ships...
Now imagine you are the FC, you have to co-ordinate the fleet and in the middle of that system's start malfunctioning on your ship, targeting range as well, so I couldn't see hows to primary going. First I tried to load different missiles, shooting different targets, it didn't help. It took about 2 mins to realize what was wrong, that was way too much time to lose on a tourney. Basicly it was my fault, because the whole thing broke up my co-ordination, and I couldn't lead the fleet efficiently. |

My MSE was offline at the start as well. However with the 6-7 minutes waiting at the beacon then the 10-15 waiting in the arena. We got everything sorted.
Seems like something you would do before the match starts, make sure everyone is getting bonus'.
I personally think you are just whining but whatever, was a good match.

Well we were flying a turret setup so we did, had to make sure everyone knew there ranges well and how to handle being TD'd. Everytime you dont like my comments/posts the terrorists win and your a disgrace to your country. |

I'm sorry to hear that. Such a devious bug that caused the subsystems to give CPU, power, slots, and CPU reduction bonuses normally but not actually give the bonuses. In my opinion you should've been given a fair chance to lose to a superior group with that Tengu fully functioning! |

Oh STFU, you lost get over yourself your just mad because PL totally forgot that Nulli already tried ECM against the vargurs and it didn't work and then you magically thought your ECM team would be soooo different your morons for not learning from the past.
As for the tengu, i would not doubt something like this happened, other teams had offlined mods normally only 1 though that was easy enough to online back, others had cap boosters switch sizes when they were moved, others had ammo disappear magically from there guns during moves... If Huns really did get every mod offlined thats screwed up, though i would like o hear from CCP if the GM was told about it and what was done to rectify it if true. |

You don't need a GM to confirm it, if you look at the final match closer (1:40), it's clearly visible that the heavy missilles fired from my tengu (red ship on the left) just disappearing after running like 50km. Anyways luck is also a factor on these tournaments, so we had very bad luck this time. If this bug would have come out earlier, it's very much possible we didn't make it this far, since the tengu was one of the two most important ships of our setup. I'm pretty sure CCP will fix this to the next tourney, and I hope it will never happen to anyone else. |

I've actually had this type of stuff happen to me on Singularity. After doing the "moveme" stuff or being held up by traffic control modules would go off-line or ship bonuses wouldn't act right. It was an interesting fight to watch anyway. The tengu would have helped a lot with the survival of your vargurs (which I love, by the way) but what I think you guys really needed was that web loki you dropped for a third vargur. That would have been huge. Anyway, congrats to both VoC and Hun. Both of you guys fielded great pilots. VoC ran those vindi setups like champs and the FCing on that Hun vs. PL fight was outstanding. ... and VoC, stop trolling, you're just making yourselves look bad. If one of your ships wasn't functioning properly for what is probably the single most important fight of the year you would be a little annoyed, too. |
