They were probably the most realistic detail of the whole thingà ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Not loving the emo goth 'Oblivion Mod with 40ft sword and leather pants' look to the fashion either tbh.

edit: But that is generally a solid gold indication that millions of hormonal boys aged 15-25 will adore it and sub to eve just to letch over it.
Yeah I thought about commenting on the fashion - one of the things that really struck me when the chica was storming across the screen was that it looked more like a WOD trailer than an Eve trailer. But I guess Eve is a cold, harsh, dark universe.
Also: Liang will take up permanent residence in Rancer as a stripper when Incarna comes out. 50 mil ISK/show. Previews available now for 500 mil ISK! :)

the fashion is cause they are also using this fabric system for their new game Word of Darkness, which is based on vampires (wiki it)

Given Eve's "ships slow down in space due to space molasses" physics, the clothing and hair movement could be considered realistic. Her posture while walking however...

Holy crap batman! Isk sent! Isk sent!!
Its funny you mention that btw, my #1 abiding (nay burning) ambition in Eve is to own a bar and just kick back and populate my memoirs with the tall stories the capsuleers feed me. I'm seriously worried once that becomes possible I won't even bother leaving the station anymore.

Rumors says the APEX vid is related to the second MMO, what's CCP is working on, the World of Darkness. Could be that the same tech appear to Incarna aswell.

It's called a corset.
Originally by: stoicfaux Given Eve's "ships slow down in space due to space molasses" physics, the clothing and hair movement could be considered realistic. Her posture while walking however...
The first one was ok enough, except for looking down instead of straight ahead.
The second one was swinging her arms way too much and I don't want to know how far they had to bend her ankle given her step size vs. heel height. Didn't look like she was stepping on the heel first... -

Funnily enough I haven't had the pleasure of being strapped in to a corset. Yet! My moobs jiggle quite freely though, especially in high heels. Also, its not as if she is sporting a pair of fried eggs is it? The gravity just ain't right.
I think she walks pretty naturally - for a 6ft 2in catwalk model. Which the lady they captured almost certainly is/was.

Well the models and animations look wonderful, it will definitely help feeling a person and not just a ship; I can imagine this will make the game a lot more come alive for the RPers among us.
I hope the girls also get Matrix like jackets and not only Gala dresses, latex suits and such!!

The sheer number and complexity of the meme animations is stunning. I mean, it looks although you will have several distinct muscle groups to control on a full 360 degree axis! Mouth watering stuff really. The much maligned prospect of a bunch of WoW-style dancing tw@ts seems soooo hopelessly last gen by comparison!
Edit: It does kinda leave me wondering what sort of CPU/GPU I am going to need to have 300 avatars such as that populating a station promenade though!

What jen said.
It's a company involved in a lot of high tech development, and it's just a demonstration of a technology. It can be applied in different ways, or maybe it's not even going to be employed in any current CCP projects. It's just a tech demo, companies do this stuff all the time. It's an important part of the software development process and a good way for them to flex some creative muscle/show off what they can do.
Oh, and I almost forgot. I just made you read my signature. |

Especially when you toss in dynamic light and shadow effects and interactive environment objects such as the featured mini games and NPC's etc.
Well the graphics settings for stations will most likely be like the ones in space. They will have a low, medium, and high setting, and all of the effects will be capable of being turned off.
Then in the expansion after Incarna, CCP will decide that maintaining the medium shader and widescreen were too much of a hassle anyways and delete them. |
