Update: Ive been working my butt off to get this station "stocked" but I cant keep up. The faction modules I thought would be good for carriers (heavy nutes) are not doing as well as I was hoping. Sadly I have been too busy to even try to get into stocking drones or restocking the hot selling T2 frigs that were cleaned off the market quickly.
Of the 3 caps that I know are in the oven right now only 1 hasn't already been sold, an Archon. Some of the dread guns have been restocked and the rest are on the way, along with XL ammo. Jump fuel was restocked.
Everything is going pretty good, and thanks to everyone who brought their business to Frerstorn!
Side note: I've gotten myself into an Ark so I am now available for contract as a jump freighter pilot.

As long as I keep ships on the market, everything moves. When I run low on ships to sell, it gets pretty stale. So far the most difficult part here is keeping enough ships on the market.

Edited by: Spectre Wraith on 21/10/2010 18:48:02 This looks like a great idea, of course this will attract attention. For the most part if it's well organized and people recognize it has more pros then cons if they cooperate, it can easily take off. Biting your tongue for the convenience of Jita in lowsec is something I'm sure everyone would want.
Send me a mail if you have any other info/ideas, I'll see what I can do.

Three months since the first post here and even longer before that is when this started. I have taken no losses. I think you need to take your afk mining/autopilot in high sec attitude to a different thread. This is for competent pilots only.

He probably means that the risk of jumping the freighter in is high, though personally I think it's easy to minimize that.
I am curious though, the system you choose seems out of the way to me, were you able to make enough profit since you started to recoup the JF cost? |

If you know what you are doing, your JF is at zero risk. If you do something stupid, then the risk goes up. You should always count on your cyno ship dieing, and when it doesn't, you count it as a freebie. If anyone is not sure about how to pilot your JF through low sec, I would be glad to instruct you how.
I don't think have earned enough profit to pay off the JF yet. I have earned a lot more than would have if I took my goods to a market hub and got .01 isked within seconds of putting my goods up for sale. If you have the time to .01 isk your way through the day, then this is not your best route to make money.

Very cool, i'm definitely going to come down and have a look at the market opportunities.
The question has been posed before, but why this location? I agree with the above, it's fairly out of the way, but i guess there has to be some method behind the madness.

Edited by: Diesel Grip on 25/10/2010 19:04:05 There is a chat channel up "Frerstorn Retail" for people to jump into so we can coordinate a little better.
Also, I've started using Eve Gate so I can communicate and get things coordinated more frequently.

Love the possible idea behind this concept/idea. I've actually headed down to Huola this evening to check things out. Also, joined the channel that's been created and currently talking about it all.
I've done the high-sec market stuff and whilst fun in it's own way. I like the idea behind developing low-sec markets. I'm paying special interest in this whole Chribba business down in 0.0 with his newly acquired station.

It would be nice to see more stuff on the market in that area. Even coming from an amarr fw pilot's viewpoint.

for this to work as well as it could, it would have to be agreed upon that you leave griefing/pirating in Jita/Hek/Amarr and behave as a normal person. a police force could be set up to help this out with a local chat warning system or something like that to let them know
this sounds extremely exciting, i would love to come down and check it out, maybe use it for a research project for uni and track market data and how a semi-anarchist state could be run.
how many jumps is Frerstorn from Amarr?

No need for policing. Low sec is perfectly safe if you have the basic tools of the trade (and a brain). A single low sec hub will never be as popular as a choke point/bottleneck between major hisec hubs (Cough Amamake cough) so there will never be significant pirate actions going on. Furthermore, Frerstorn is not between anything of major importance, so there is not any significant traffic going through Frerstorn gates.
Honestly, the only thing you really have to worry about is AFK cloakers .
Plenty of things still missing in Frerstorn though. Hop in the frerstorn retail channel.

Things are starting to move fairly frequently now. I decided to try to get a better look at what we have stocked, we have come a long way:
But we still have a long way to go. I brought in a bunch of dread ammo, its all gone. We are fairly well stocked and are getting a little quicker to restock. A lot of people are buying us completely out of ships, I can only assume because they are worried that we wont be able to restock them?
So things are looking good to date.

Interesting. Altho I myself still prefer Jita for cheaper prices as size of that stuff is not a problem for me (freighter alts etc etc).

You may want to start seeding the market with P4 PI components for when Incursion hits -- the new meta2 cap module BPCs that can be bought via the Concord LP store require the meta0 module and a handful of these components to build.
As an example Capital Coaxial Regenerative Projector BPC: 11xBroadcast Node 1x Capital Remote Armor Repair System 6x Integrity Response Drone 22x Nanofactory

Excellent idea. I'm not really interested in the capital ships. But that area definitely needs a hub. I'm in fw for amarr and its a long ride of shame in my ibis back to huola or tuo after I lose a ship around there. I will definitely bookmark it and have some alts bring some stuff over as well. FW pvp ships and supplies would be nice. t1 ships and t2/bestnamed pvp fittings would be great. Also don't forget the rigs. -Cearain

I'm stocking Huola with modules and ammo, with ships soon to follow. Items seem to be selling fairly well for it's positioning as a system.
Huola seems to be a good jumping point into Providence - able to jump into around 15 systems. I think all of them had a station. I know it's only 5 jumps from Amarr but i'm trying to sell it as a system for convienence. I know alot of people who would rather pay that little bit extra than do another 10 jumps to get back into the action. Plus prices really aren't that much more, but people aren't only paying for convienence they're also paying for me hauling it there.
Off-topic: Why, oh why, isn't there an option for corp members to alter orders? Surely if you've given them director access then surely you trust them enough with the corps ISK.
