Ffs we are supposed to vote for the best European online game as it stands NOW. Simple as that. If you think that there is some other better mmorpg out there, worth my money and time, I'd really like to hear about it. I don't know any.
Sure Eve could use some fixing here and there just like any other mmorpg in the world, but it also needs to evolve. CCP said they planned from day one to create some sort of ultimate sci-fi simulator. I couldn't possibly know reasons why they've been stuck with that 'internet spaceships' part for all this years but if they really want to finally move and expand Eve they must do something about it. You could say that they did not choose right time, but let's be realistic: there is no such thing as right time not it will ever be. Remember we are talking about one mmorpg here: mmorpgs are never finished, they are always partially broken, and you can never expect perfect balance. Never. I've played enough mmorpgs in my life to know that Eve is --despite all its flaws-- far the best in genre, and comparing to other companies CCP is actually very good in what they do and how they communicate with their playerbase. It's ok if you don't believe me: then I'd strongly recommend you to try some other game... AoC, WAR, DF, you name it. But let me tell you this: if you played Eve for more than 12 months I guarantee you'll come back very soon.
Also... I see some people here are voting for other games even if they don't have slightest clue about them. Why? To look cool on these forums? How old are you guys?
Quit trolling Zyrmy.

Empirical evidence and anthropic reasoning strongly point at door number 3.
-or- I don't pay with my own cash to play anyways. Yay for PLEX.

The mother****ing nerve of that response! I don't pay for my accounts thanks to PLEX, but I have to say I'm wondering if it's at all worthwhile anymore.
You're doing a brilliant job of alienating people CCP! Keep it up and your company might collapse under your collective fat heads.

Seriously, that damage control response just ****es me right the **** off.

A trial is free you know... Friend > World of tanks is free too. Me > But that's a closed beta. Friend > Same difference. Except the devs for 'tanks are actually working on it.
Ouch. Sorry CCP, I tried, but I think you lost a potential customer there.

Holy carp. Playing the game itself is now against its own rules.
I'm not surprised at all.
Good thing I don't participate in large fleet fights or I might get banned!
Quick, someone forward that thread off to some gaming sites! Need moar bad press.

Originally by: Sol Mahon Organise a few huge fleet fights, the kind of stuff CCP say Tranquility can handle but you know it can't, invite some of those "Reporters" from the gaming news sites (on a trial account) that are taking an interest in this to watch Tranquility die. Record videos of Tranquility in its darkest hour, and post them on Youtube.

It has been nothing but 'old ****' for a fair while now, aside from the odd gift ship that does almost nothing useful.
T3 cruisers were a good addition, but that was... what, a year ago now?
There's been so few major improvements or additions since Apocrypha. The odd shiny tide-me-over features aside. And the new sov... good idea gone very wrong right there.

I'm still here. Though I don't do large scale warfare, so that might be a moot point.

If only the Primae had been a dedicated ORE salvage boat. Such a waste of the ship model.

I wonder how many votes EVE has gotten so far. Will we only find out after the voting is over?

Actually I see that the subscriber base hasn't really grown that much if at all. And during the past year, it hasn't reached the number of players it reached at least 5-6 months ago.
So the new features haven't really attracted many long-term players. yet their lack of attention to fixing broken stuff is annoying the ones they do have.
And it's still far too early to see much fallout over this drama in server population stats. Wait a month or two, at least; accounts don't magically expire instantly.
