New story arc - investigation into the shattered planets, Seyllin incident, Sansha, wormholes, basically my attempts to work through some of the Dropbear Mystery.
At the end of the story arc I will post a "datacore" of my findings for long-term reference.

Special thanks to all the people of this board, particularly the Sleeper/Drone threads, for giving me the fuel for these paranoid ramblings. This post includes stops at Sarum Prime (and the Mekhios Graveyard) as well as Tash-Murkon Prime.
Also stop by and check out Arvash's prototype new look from the Singularity beta character generator.

Originally by: Nathan Jameson I highly approve of this thread and the efforts you are making. Keep it up! It's great to see images of places I can't get to every day.
Thanks Nathan! Glad you are enjoying it. I will put up a separate thread once I have the Shattered Planets Datacore posted, since I suspect it will generate some conversation.
If you like images of far-flung sights of New Eden I also highly recommend my sometime-collaborator Mark's Eve Travel blog - it's the closest thing Eve has to Fodor's!

That'd be card-playing terminology, for those of you not familiar with the term. Some of the folks who enjoy my more crew-focused stories were feeling like I had gone without talking about them for a while, so while this one includes another Shattered Planets log entry, it's more like some of my earlier more character-focused posts. Feedback/comments welcomed!

Originally by: Nathan Jameson I'm glad you pointed out the similarities between the EVE Gate and the sights in a Cataclysmic Variable system. It's rather suggestive if the two are related.
There's a third suggestive item too. More on that in Part 7.

Originally by: Roga Dracor I've read a few now, very well done..
Thanks Roga, I appreciate the encouragement. While I speculate wildly on other threads in this forum, within the stories I am trying to detail in-game factual items discovered. At the end of the whole thing I intend to put together a compendium of the whole mess, which started as a simple web page but I am already finding will likely have to turn into a PDF or similar. I visited the last of the systems I needed to (unless someone can point me to the C5 wormhole that has a shattered) this past weekend, so the research is done but I need to finish the writing...

Great stuff. Merry X-mass and keep them coming
Thanks Varde Nor! It's looking like I'll have 2-4 more Shattered posts, and then on to new stuff. Still to come: T-IPZB, Geztic, Barkrik and a couple of wormholes, as well as something to wrap the whole arc up ... At least for now.

Trip to T-IPZB and the Blood Raider graveyard, along with a black hole and a pulsar. This will be the last shattered planet visit (though there are a couple things left to wrap up before the story is done) ... unless someone wants to give up photos of or a path to visit J115422?

At long last, another Shattered post. My apologies for how long it's been - I'll hopefully be wrapping it with two last posts in the near future.
Includes visits to Geztic and Barkrik, and some shots of the mysterious "particle accelerators" (thanks to Umega and the unknown explorer of Vellaine).
My apologies to those to whom I promised in another thread that I would reveal the text of a mysterious Evemail I got in this installment - there was too much on these items so that will actually come in Part 11.
While you're there, feel free to check out the Evolution of Arvash character creator montage as well.

Hi All -
Due to RL circumstances, I will be taking a break from Eve for 2-3 months. No, you can't have my stuff - I plan to be back!
I do plan, at minimum, to finish Shattered. However, without an active Eve account, I will be unable to post about it when I do so on this board. I have the content and pics in the can, just need to get to the writing!
Coming soon, watch Interstellar Privateer for:
- Shattered Part 11: CONCORD's Fine Print - CONCORD records, video and a letter from a purported CONCORD source explain why there were 10 "main sequence anomalies" in k-space but yet there are only seven shattered planets. Includes a visit to one of the systems that should have one but does not.
- Shattered Part 12: The Hidden Fire - Arvash visits the last of the non-Jovian shattered planets, deep in a C5 wormhole.
I hope to also post an in-depth review and dissection of The Empyrean Age and possibly get to the Shattered Database, my compilation of all the data I have gathered to date, up at some point.
I'll probably also post a story or two, or at minimum a screencap gallery, of my last 6 months in the service in Eve University - touching on many things I haven't had time to get to in the blog story because of how much time I spent on Shattered. Since joining E-Uni I now am primarily a battlecruiser pilot, with lots of CovOps and Interceptor time in as well, skills I was only dreaming about when I started the actual travels described in Shattered.
I wish you all a good couple of months, and hope you'll stop by Interstellar Privateer on occasion or subscribe to the RSS feed. Fly safe!

Thanks for posting while I was away, Mark! I've been busy writing while I was out.
Yes, three new items and a discussion thread to finally wrap up Shattered:
In addition, when you stop by check out the two new ship photo gallery posts, Thrashers and Explorers.
Comments welcomed! Enjoy!

Edited by: Arvash on 01/04/2011 13:17:29 Thanks Nathan. I've done a number of wormhole PVE ops in my time with Eve University and have flown with folks from Adhocracy and Future Corps as well as the light show Mental Disorders put on for us in the last Shatted installment, so I'm giving serious consideration to whether I go to a WH corp next.
The key question Will be whether I want to be rich and shoot Sleepers or be poor and shoot players. :)

As those who follow my blog might have guessed, the latest Live Events with Hilen Tukoss, the Sansha and random Caldari shuttle pilots have sucked me back into the game - one of the few things that would have done so.
In order to participate in Arek'Jalaan, I've also decided to stop posting under this name, which is the blog's "ghost writer", and begin using my main (who is the real object of the stories.
Therefore all future posts here will be by Rhavas.
