Someone who had been playing for years told me that a long time ago, before the opening of the drone regions, Jove space used to be accessible. Is this true? Was it actually like empire space or was it NPC 0.0?
Furthermore, are there any plans to ever open it up to players? I've been following the whole Sansha invasion story and it sort of ties in with Jove space which makes me think it might be opened up.

You used to be able to get to Jove space by exploiting a bug in the clone system. When you used this exploit you found an area of space that was not really finished.
The Jove fulfil the same role in Eve in the dragons do in WoW. The are a very powerful race who come from a place that is mysterious and unreachable.
And every few days someone asks when the Jove space/Emerald Dream is going to be accessible.

Edited by: Marko Riva on 01/08/2010 08:43:39 I'm sure that with managers deciding CCP's course and their short term view of attracting more new players while not bothering with polished content (or a working game for long term players/addicts) they'll cave in and add the Jedi playable race real soon, opening up Jove space.

UUA-F4 isn't really Jove space, it's indeed just the devs' playground. Notice how all the soverignty (except in a few systems claimed by CCP's alliance) says unclaimed throughout the region.
The Jove Empire encompasses the regions of J7HZ-F and A821-A, which are connected to each other (but not the rest of space obviously), and the sov actually shows up as Jove Empire. If you look on Dotlan you can even see the stations and agents in them.
edit: also whoever was wondering how he got there, that was on Sisi (the test server), they had a "moveme" bot for a while that would move you wherever in space you wanted to, including the Jove regions. CCP promptly nixed it when they found out it was being abused.
