I'm not sure when this started - possibly since Dominion, definitely since Tyrannis - but the station graphics now flicker on my system. They only stop flickering when viewed from certain angles. They flicker more often than not. No other graphical anomalies have appeared.
Very strange.
Any thoughts?

Started with the change of OS X to 10.6.4. There are various threads on the subject further back in time. In my case the flicker only occurs when the angle of view on an imaginary line between your vessel and the sun is less than ¦90 deg. Turning off the Sun is Occluded by Ships checkbox helps.

That did help, thanks!
Just wish the bug didn't exist at all. Though it doesn't affect usability too much, so I won't raise a stink. :-)

It is a loooong standing problem, at least since Dominion and 10.6.3 updates. It seems to only affect macs with ATI radeon cards like my iMac, but not on others like my NVIDIA PowerMac. When I saw the patch notes for Tyrranis 1.0.4 I hoped it was fixed, and it seemed like it was when I flew my Rattlesnake, but I must have been lucky with angles. As soon as I undocked in my Helios it was just as awful as ever. Sigh!
I wish there was even an acknowledgement from CCP/Cider guys that this problem even exists!

Since Tyrranis 1.1 patch, I've turned sun occluded back on and have not had any flickering problems. Touch wood, this might be fixed?
