tl:dr - Mostly I'm just wondering if anyone else is getting this annoying practice.

Every so often I have to go through my wallet returning unsolicited shares from jackasses. I usually do not notice the "deposit" into my wallet assets until the spam starts. Which usually consists of dividends of 1 isk - 1 isk to be shared amongst 1K+ shares.

Mind you I get annoyed when I find shares to corps with the name Herpes, Crabs, and other assorted jokes in my wallet. Not to mention having to go read some of the tripe that people put in corp descriptions when I try to figure out "WTF if this vote/dividend about?"

(Listen, when you get a little bit older you'll realize that such juvenile humor is, in fact, just plain juvenile. Nothing says loser like wasting clever on the juvenile.)

Of course blocking the sender has no effect, I know. I've returned shares before only to have them sent back to me again and again. (Harassment Petition +1) Just another example of why the ingame share system could use a small revamp.

PS: Additionally, I think people also need to realize that if you check someone's API and look at a share holder list: Do not think that my name on that list means I recommend this person/project.

In fact, my name on the list might be considered a negative as I rarely hold any shares myself.

Send the shares to CCP/GM characters or known banned characters (or isk farmers if you like), that way they can't send them back to you.

I actually thought about this but there's problems in either direction:

1: CCP/GM Toons - I'd simply be committing the same harassment that annoys me. Furthermore, if they got annoyed it would be with me (as I'm sure there is some log somewhere!).

2: Banned Toons/Isk Farmers - I don't know any but one and tbh I don't bother with that one even to spit on.

I'm sorry for typing my post in English. If you would be kind enough to tell me what language you do read I'll attempt to post in that next time. Or was this a cry for attention?

Yes, I'm too good for crabs or herpes but that is besides the point. There are some people who do get harassed and harassment is over that line between reality and game. Regardless of your opinion of them. The share system, used like this, bypasses reasonable user-level harassment prevention.

Mostly I was just wondering if this was happening to others and how widespread this is or might be getting.

PS: Mind you my end goal agenda is to eventually have some Dev loving on the share system itself.
