It's a service and as such a move to WTS forums would have been a correct one. Also for the potential of the business the OP is trying to run.

Let me reply quickly to a few things. There are 3 reasons I originally placed it here.
1) Banks and other lending institutions advertise their wares here. Though we are more like a check cashing & payday loan corp than a bank lol.
2) When folks come looking for loans, they come to this forum not WST or WTB or WTT, and the moderators do not move their looking for loan posts to those other forums.
3) We are owned by a publicly traded company and wanted make it known.
All this said we also had planned to make a tie in announcement after our original post, but lost the thread in the moderation shuffle. So you will please excuse us.

Utter tosh. Services are an "exception" to the sell forum
---
From : http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic=1108258
Quote:
2: Threads started in this forum are for items that are For Sale or On Auction only.
That is the "main charter" of the sell forum
It has however acquired the following "exception"
Quote:
14: Services
- [SERVICE] tag in thread title.
If you are offering an industrial service such as hauling, mining or anything POS contract based you may post them here.
Note the word "may" (as opposed to "shall")
Meaning that some (in fact probably most) services are indeed suited for and allowed in the sell forum - But *not* all.

This the OP answers himself perfectly

-------
All that aside : There's a thing called "common sense", that should be engaged, both by moderators and posters alike.
Unless you wan't an EULA&TOS sized and EULA&TOS convoluted description of each forum, then that (common sense) has to be the overriding "measuring yard".
There will ofc be grey areas (this is not one imo) in which case the decision can be tricky. Those are the cases where we, the users, of either forum, has to voice our opinion if we feel the original decision was wrong and needs a second look/opinion.
Which is what I did.
And I've backed up my argument as well. Feel free to attempt the same.

We are proud to announce our new type of loan service. "Interest Bank loans"
Q: What is an "Interest Bank" ? A: An "Interest Bank" is a saved pool of Isk, from interest you have paid from previous loans.
Q: So the interest i pay you from a loan goes into this Bank? A: Yes. Each time you take a loan and repay it, your paid interest goes into your private pool called your "Interest Bank"
Q: What is the "Interest Bank" used for? A: The "Interest Bank" is a pool of Isk used by you to reduce needed collateral on future loans.
Q: So as my personal "Interest Bank" grows i can use it in place of collateral? A: Yes the amount in your "Interest bank" counts as 1/1 collateral against a loan.
Q: How do i grow my "Interest Bank" ? A: Every time you take out a loan, the interest you pay goes into your "Interest Bank" Pool.
Q: How do you get paid? A: We charge a 15% service fee on interest at the end of each loan. We also charge a monthly maintenance fee of 7.5% on each "Interest Bank".
More details on our new loan program will come tomorrow after i wake up.

interesting service. But how do you secure the loan? Dont you need any form of collateral?
What prevents a person from taking a loan, buy a ship that he/she cant master, lose it and when you ask for the dough he tells you STFU?

Just as bad an idea as all others that involve less than 100% collateral.
As soon as you have accumulated enough of a capital reserve to reduce collateral requirements you will get ripped off.

That's what I was thinking when I read this. There should always be a minimum level of collateral required if you're set on this kind of scheme.

Let me answer a couple of your questions.
1st, collateral is required for all of our loans. New customers with no personal history with our company need full collateral. Customers whom have dome more business with us can get better rates.
2nd, The Interest Bank style loans are full collateral loans. The idea is that the interest you pay on your loan is put aside. We charge fee's in this interest but the remainder goes into this saved pool. This pool is used by you to offset the amount of collateral for future loans.
We are not offering something for nothing, what we are doing is trying to get customers to continue to use our service, in a way we feel is good for both parties.

I want to make something clear here. If a person does have high enough pool to offset a laon by 50% collateral ..and that person defaults. We lose nothing. We keep their 50% collateral and cash out their Banked Pool Isk..for a total of 100% payback.
The pool is collateral....

On top of this, they have been receiving payments from the customer to keep the line of credit open in the form of maintenance fees and ect.
I do have one question. Is the pool of isk for each line of credit actually set off to the side and used to keep your corp capitalized or is it used for other loans and just kept on the books?
The only problem I see with the service is that the bookkeeping will be a nightmare! But hey, if you can keep your numbers straight once you start getting more customers, more power too you!
With that said, I like your business model! I'm interested in seeing how far you can take it!

Yes the pool for each line is set to the side, we feel it's best this way. There is nothing worse then people not being able to use/get their Isk because a fund doesn't have it. Once you have Isk in the pool, it will always be available to use on demand.
Bookkeeping will be our most important focus. We must be accurate.

Edited by: Hawkcrest on 26/08/2010 07:05:22 Why would I use this service when I can simply issue my own bond at a rate I find acceptable instead of concerning myself about your fine print? Yes Im still around all you old timers, just keeping my head down and developing the corp as always.

The loans are strait forward same as any other lender, we just get our profits through fee's instead of taking it all as a lump at the end of the loan. We just like the idea of letting people use their interest they have already paid in a positive way for them.
If a person can float a Bond then by all means, more power to them.
If they just want a strait 250mil loan @ say 6% interest.... that's 15mil interest. Most companies will gobble that up as short term profit. Only [Loanz] will take a fee of 2.25mil as our profit, and credit your account with the remaining 12.75mil Isk Interest to be used for collateral in future loans.
Long Term, Happy Customers is what we want.
