Hi All
I'm not sure where this would go so I figured general would work. Basically, my corp has been living in a Wormhole for the past several months. There has always been this mobile medium warp disruptor floating around, left over from the previous residents we're assuming. It's really doing no harm; it's just obnoxious to have it sit there on D-scan.
Since they can't be scanned down, I petitioned a GM that told me there was nothing that could be done about it except to slow-boat it out there and kill it myself. But as far as I understand, it could take several hours (or days?) to find one of these things with just a slow boat and D-scan.
Any ideas for getting rid of it?
Thanks!

If its in line with two celestials you can try to use bookmarks between the two to narrow its location down, to make slowboating to it easier. If it used to be at the location of a wormhole which has despawned it is near impossible to get to, unless you have it bookmarked already.
Its annoying that it clutters up your scanner, we used to have two bubbles anchored in our system that we were never able to get rid of.

2 Things 1) Ignore it or
2) Get a dramiel, put an mwd on it and nano's on the lows, fill it with nanite repair paste and overheat to it. Might take a while. ~~~~~Signature Starts Here~~~~~

or months... no way to tell how far out there it is.
If it's in line with two celestials you can use the old safespot trick, warp between the two and put a safespot on each side of it, then a safe between those two, closer and closer to the bubble till you land on grid with it. This might take all day if you're new to trying it, and even then it could be slightly off center from the celestials (instead of two planets, two moons at those planets), putting you several hundred thousand km off course.
If it was placed on a wormhole enterence then it more than likely isn't in line with anything, which is probably where it was placed. Yea, there's really no good way to find these things, nothing at all, I've been exactly where you are and tried.
Yet another thing CCP could take a short amount of time to fix by either making them scannable or making them expire after 1 month if they aren't reanchored (similar to a GSC)....

Just take the Bubble off your overview settings.
Bam! No more Bubble on D-Scan.

1. Take a **** ton of cheap mobile small bubbles 2. Find a wh with people 3. Start anchoring bubbles in random spots/safes 4. ??? 5. People whine :D

You know there weren't always combat probes, just do what was essentially probing before probes, pin it down with d-scan and drop bookmarks as you warp past it as a sort of triangulation, when you're close enough get an interceptor (you have those, right?) to go 5km/s towards it.

If you haven't already done so, check out the moons to see if its there. It's common to bubble up POS'es and the previous residents might have used it for that.
If it's at an old WH location then yeah it could probably take years to get to it.
