i just uninstalled eve, downloaded the entire new client from this website and installed it. and i still get this: http://img534.imageshack.us/f/16486835.jpg/ right after "entering character selection"
i also just run the repair tool but it does not help.
if re-installing the game does not work i dont know what does work

Please run logserver and follow the steps here to see if a crashdump is generated.
Create a bug report and include "Attention: CCP Tenitigo" in the title. Make sure to attach the logserver file, crashdump (if it was generated) and a dxdiag with your report. Thanks!
i am re-installing eve again now, if it still does not work i will do that.

i still have the same problem: i submiddet a bug report and the log server file my report ID is 99478
Btw somewhere on that site that says how to report a bug it says to ad /minidump at the end of the shortcut: i followed the steps and tried to change my shortcut target from "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP1\EVE\eve.exe" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP1\EVE\eve.exe /minidump"
exactly like it says on that site you linked, but i get a error says its invalid and that i should enter somting else.

are there more people getting this error? is there any progress? what should i try now?
Could it maybe have somthing to do with the Alienware Light plugin? i read somewhere that this was being implemented for the alienware laptop with PI patch ( like the flashing lights on my laptop when i get warp scrambled), ( if im the only one with the problem theres a good chanse that that is it? )

Could you please try and disable AlienFX support, by pressing your Escape button, going to the Graphics tab and unchecking the "AlienFX Support" checkbox?
Blarg, before i enter my password and press enter, i press escapre and look for the button: but i can find no such button, its not there.
I did trie closing all the plugins and alienware programs that run on my background in the task manager and rebooting eve but i still get the same thing.

This should open up an Explorer window, from which you can find the files you are looking for.
ok i found all the filles, i have uploaded them in a zip file here: http://dl.eve-files.com/media/1008/crash2.zip
And i just added them to my bug repport with number: 99478
could someone who knows about these things plz have a look and let me know whats wrong? or what i can do?
BTW: all the things in the crash2 zip file i just uploades are in windows 7 with all the latest updates.

But could it be that im affected by other people on my LAN who have this program installed?

Ok i tried it, on the singularity server, it could connect, i entered my password, goes to character selection loading screen, and half way loading it crashes. It does gif a different error now, first it gave a runtime -abnormal program termination.
Now i get the usual windows 7 popup saying CCp exefile has stopped working and that the program needs to be closed.
i send in a bugreport with the log-server files etc (nr 99670) with !attention tenitigo

hey guyz
I just re-installed my entire OS (windows 7 64 bit) on my alienwareand now i can login again! :D
i have no idea what caused it tho, and i wonder if it still works afe rinstaling my other drivers
