I happened to have the displeasure of being apart of Scorched Earth before they folded, and even very young in my Eve career, I noticed that there were always certain things that seemed to happen before a huge fall. So my question to you CAOD is this:
What in your experiences, are the usual precursors to huge alliance failcascades? Or are there not really patterns at play?
Thanks again guys! o/

Mark My post, If an alliance accepts GLD more importantly Cosmoboy into their alliance, They are instantly a subject of a Failcascade or a extreme injury.
History of Pain
See for yourself:
DSTNY - Injured
Celestial Frontier - Killed
WI. - Injured (GLD was a founding member) *Note* Did get back on it's feet and numbers by taking alot of Empire Corps though and being put in the Center of Carebear command Branch region.
Systematic-Chaos - Injured - Got back on it's feet respectfully.
Opticon Alliance - Sluaghtered - Only took him 15 days!
Honourable Templum of Alcedonia - Sluaghtered - Atempting to go the way of the renter for GLD also did not work. - Killed HTA in just under a month.
Honourable Templum of Alcedonia mk II - Killed them in 4 days (They shouldent have re-accepted Cosmo)
Intrepid Crossing - So GLD moved to the space no one used to care about to an alliance that continues to bounce back to see if it was able to last the Cosmoboy Experiance. They joined 2010-07-16 02:52:00 In that time, The Nc have decided to roadtrip into IRC space and Claim stations renaming them things like "Plated Naglfar Dealership" Relating to this: The Perfect Nag fit. Extreme skill required
That all said and done irc is down 1/3 of its numbers after being under attack for one week. It's anyones guess how fast GLD will kill IRC however by looking back into history we can clearly see they are getting better at it. In fact for any alliances out there who want to remove another alliance, Just get Cosmoboy and GLD into your target alliance, he's got a 100% efficancy.
And the ship kills with no killmails looks like some insurance fruad too. Even with nerfed insurance.
But yes stay clear from masses of Carebears and GLD and most alliances hold strong.
I'd Link one of his Rants, but then my post might be a bit to targeted...

Dstny: Alliance leader choosed to have all its Corps run instead of fighting so you know there was no chance to fight.
Celestial Frontier: This was a stop gap alliance and nothing more Bobbeh from now in WI ran this alliance. It is where WI was thought about and became a alliance.
WI: Yes it was a vision of 3 Corps and all good things come to a end. GLD was not going to commit to the NC that turned there back on WI to help Mostly Harmless instead of WI at the time in Geminate. GLD did not think helping the NC was in the best choice for us to smake so we left and the HC in WI knew we were going to leave.
SYS-K: Well first thing the main holding corp robbed all the corps of the riches it could to benfit them. Then came the new alliance leadership and this was even worst. They brought in a bunch of FC that were plain ******ed in every choice they made. Then the leaders tryed to steal a station from GLD yeah right I would give you a GLD asset.
Opticon: Was not a bad alliance had good leadership but was just a new allinace that had a bunch of newer pvpers there. But overall good alliance.
HTA: Good guys. But one leader that thought it was wise choice to drop crops in a middle of a large battle so that he can take power from the other. Sad but it was a good alliance to be a part of.
IRC: Can't say enough of the leadership there and to all the Corp that stood fast against all the NC and there friends. They know the truth.
In the closing arugments I like to thank all the Pilots that I have flown with and or have yelled at but its all in good fun. The plated Nag is true I will not lie about that. Also GLD was always on the top five on the Killboards. GLD also held all time killers in WI unit we left.

realedit if this thread wasn't full troll, and I'm wayyyy too drunk to tell the difference, Mittsypoo had a really accurate and in-depth analysis on one of his Ten Ton Hammer blogs that will fully answer any of your questions about the process.
... but yeah afk alliance ceo generally tends to bypass a lot of the other elements and help accelerate straight to zero.

Cosmo, why are you lying about what happened in SYS-K? I'll break it down for you as exactly what happened, cause your memory seems to be failing you.
1. Sure, when I.NET left, they took what they thought what was theirs, end of story, happens all the time. Welcome to Eve Online. Check!
2. You were just upset at the new leadership because it wasn't you that was given the keys. A direct comment from one of your own directors. Fail!
3. The FC's were new and did what they could, but yeah, they made some mistakes along the way. Overall they did the best they could with what they had to work with (like your corp showing up in T1 frigs, cruisers, and BC's when the FC and OP clearly called for BS's). Fail!
4. You had the station timer set for Coven/SE's prime-time (what were you thinking?), then when it was saved the first time and the alliance demanded you hand them over the station because of your complete incompetence, you said and I quote "I'll just give it to our reds before I turn it over to the alliance". Fail!
What did you think was going to happen with that kind of stupid behavior? Also, lets not forget how you repetitively jumped out your capital ships at the first sign of trouble, then showed back up in Drake's. You did nothing but cause trouble, tried to bring more drama than a 12 year old girl, and showed your truly a coward when the heat gets applied. I won't even get started on how you act on comms, most here know what that's all about.
The Brick guy is correct, every problem any alliance had when you were a member had to have been their fault. Come on Dude, you need to get a clue.

Quoted for truth, been there first hand, twice now. Don't believe what any new corp says about being "Willing to PvP" when actually all they're willing to do is dock in your newly built outposts and the only constellation defence they ever take part in is when Sansha build a Provincial HQ near one of their asteroid belts.
