Prepare the Threadnaught!
The ghost training blog comments lasted over a year with thousands threatening to quit causing the total number of players to continue to increase. Please, whiners, just go ahead and quit without posting. We already don't miss you and you won't have any affect whatsoever on CCP's bottom line.

Short blog, straightforward premise, simple to look at and understand, and a positive development for the health of the game. I approve.

Ending ghost RP is all well and good, but where's the "and more!" part? I hope it wasn't just the dropping hints about the winter expansion without providing content or actually dropping any hints, was it? ------------------------ Peace through superior firepower: a guiding principle for uncertain times. |

Because CCP took away a documented feature of the game. It was a nerf, not a bugfix.
Nowhere has CCP's game material offered the advice that players can accumulate RP while the account is inactive. That isn't true of the ghost training feature that was removed.

Here comes the threadnaught. Choo-Choo!
I wonder if the people affected will want market orders to act the same way...
Short blog, but as today included 2 blogs I think I can easily let it slide ;)

At first I thought you were doing this because it would make datacore harvesters pay for more account time = more money for CCP. But I don't think datacores can pay for a PLEX/month so I think people will reactivate one last time and then close their datacore farming accounts which = less money for CCP. Good change imo! - It's not "Play through a pre-set story, become stronger, do endgame". Gameplay is open ended, and you make your own story. Unless you're too afraid of 'pvp grief' to do anything relevant |

Excellent Blog, oh and on page 1 for once.
PS, I want docking in carriers and motherships and titans, I think it would truely make the game even more dynamic.
IE stuf 30 bomber pilots into 1 carrier and have it jump and all of them deploy.

I doubt there will be a threadnaught. People were upset about ghost training because it didn't really hurt anyone. I don't think anyone really thinks that you should be able to make isk like that without even paying a subscription every month.

bah, you beat me to it.
seriously though, it shouldn't be that difficult, and would make a lot of new and old players very very happy.

Of all these dev blogs I was hoping one of them would be an announcement about finally changing the UI for the clicking nightmare that is Planetary Interaction. But no.
Guess it is Faction Warfare all over again.

Bombers are not a great example because you can already black ops them around, however I do agree that a proper mothership you can dock into (say with a "station" environment) would be awesome.
Many thanks to Soundwave and all the other dev blog authors for taking the time this week to update the players on a number of subjects.

You still collect them if your account is active but you arent logged in, right?
And how will this affect accounts that are already inactive and accumulating RP? will they be instantly cut off, or will they be cut off when they next login?

PI has a dedicate scrum team in the winter expansion, so hopefully many of the items in the Planetary Interaction Omnibus Proposal passed by CSM will get attention.
I have put in a request to CCP that CSM be kept in the loop on the progress of the entire expansion backlog (not just the CSM one) so that we can monitor this, as it is of interest to the player base and CSM may be able to expedite matters.

When the ghost training was stopped all SP stopped clocking up after the set grace period (3 days) after the change was implemented if the account wasn't acctive.
