I, too, run around yelling about my new toys and demanding people admire them. Oh wait, no, I'm not 8 anymore. Not everyone thinks the same way you do. This doesn't automatically make them wrong. |

The ARM architecture makes porting to android pretty much impossible. You should have waited for a windows 8 phone/tablet. They'll run The EVE client natively. |

Any chance the mac client would run on an i-PAD?
With the graphics improvements EVE is getting increasingly more hardware intensive to run. my laptop is starting to have difficulties and it ran multiple instances the client no problem two years ago. An android client, even a striped down one for just market access and skill training updates (no undocking) would be nice. But If they ever decide to do it, it won't be any time soon.
Better chance of getting them to expand the API features to allow approved third party programs to actually interface rather than just read data. send EVE mail as well as read it. update training ques not just view the status. Update market transactions. etc. Even that is not likely to happen any time soon. |

If eve were available on tablet I would inevitably put it on my wife's iPad, this would serve only to give her something new to be annoyed at me about. In spite of this though, I'm on holiday in a few weeks and playing Internet spaceships at a swim up bar, with a cigar and a drink with an umbrella in it sounds very appealing. |

No they won't. Windows 8 may support the ARM architecture, that doesn't mean the EVE client will natively run on it. |

EVE would run terrible on a tablet, they just aren't powerful enough. EVE plays fine on a tablet/PC currently and needs no interference from CCP. Run EVE on your computer, remote access your computer with your tablet, BOOM EVE on a tablet. I do it on my smart phone, it works fine. |

Windows 8 tablets won't be running on ARM. Those will be called Windows RT tablets.
Windows 8 is confirmed compatible with Eve. Windows RT is confirmed incompatible. |

desktop and laptop are computers, a notebook is a **** laptop, so still a computer. a tablet isn't really. nor is a smartphone (clue is in the name "phone") in short; does it have a keyboard and mouse? if so it's a computer. so you turned it in to a computer, the phone itself is... a phone! Reading my posts is like panning for gold; most it will be useless, but occasionally you'll find a nugget of gold. |
