I wasn't expecting you to continue speaking to me after I had embarrassed you on the other announcement. It seems as though our respective battlefields will be one in the same very soon, dear friend. Perhaps we should arrange a duel?
I'd honestly say you did a better job of embarrassing yourself.
I'm sorry, who are you?
In all my time as a capsuleer, I have never heard or seen your name anywhere. Perhaps you should consider who you are speaking to before you open your mouth, lest something should happen to your ship and crew in space.

Edited by: Victoria Stecker on 25/08/2010 22:53:56 This is an interesting change of heart, Alex. When I met you, you were organizing a pirate alliance and recruiting me to join you, possibly in a leadership position. Now you've gone to join the free captains who - last I checked, I may be mistaken - frown deeply upon piracy.
None the less, I find that my original assessment of you and your character stands.
The empty can rattles the most, Alex, and by the looks of things, you've made yourself right at home rattling away on the IGS.

Yeh and your going to do it? Show us your corps combat record, I dare you. hahaha. Empty threats on IGS are meaningless. Do you really think anyone is going to listen to you given your track record so far...
And who are you again? Oh, yeh some egotist who tries to make himself look good by posting constantly on IGS while failing miserably elsewhere. Wake up, meathead, the dream is over!

I find it interesting that you ignored Victoria's question while attacking her definitions, which, by the way, makes little difference. In the true spirit of a strawman argument.
I find it interesting that the Fraction would take you in, aren't they anti-slaver?

They take pilots from all backgrounds, as long as they are willing to leave previous things behind.

I tell you something clearly Aodha Khan.
Nobody lasts in the Star Fraction unless they are prepared to fight in space against the regressive influence of nationalist empires and their puppet capsuleer minions.
I counsel you to wait and see whether Artemis and the Resistance Project make an impact or not. Truth will out.

Oh, well aren't you the clever little girl?
Is your capacity for though so minute that you have to resort to calling someone a **** to be able to insult them? It seems as though you will fit in well with 90% of your current alliancemates

I don't really care. I have very low opinions of Nationalist capsuleers of all kinds and I have never considered Ghost Festival anything more than a minor noise on galnet playing an out of tune second fiddle to Veto. Unless you have fleets in space I generally consider you in the Rodj Blake class of toothless ranter incapable of substantive action and dismiss the likely consequence of offending you as completely irrelevant.

Ah, Jade. I believe I have found the answer.
These corps and alliances deal in the shadows and engage in covert operations. That is why you rarely see them in space.

This may be the most noise SF has managed to harvest from the recruitment of a single pilot since ... well, ever.
Pilots, we all have work to do, do we not? Can we take the hatred, bile, and acrimony as read, and get on with it?

Arriana has a small fit of giggles as she reads through the thread
He's thinking if he can shout loudly enough, he can mask the fact that one of his pilots lost 12 billion in bpos and bpcs in an orca in Amamake.
Not sure, maybe he's just silly.

That sort of thing is extremely embarrassing to a corporation it happens to, yes. It's sort of an odd thing to be overly defensive about as an individual, though, unless you're the one who did it or were somehow involved.
Even if you're the CEO, other people's flagrant stupidity is only your fault to a very limited degree-- mostly the degree that you hired them in the first place.
In all seriousness, I suspect Alex is enjoying putting on a display of bravado, false or not.
Now, this is just my opinion, but, for the rest of you-- getting into an insult match with the Fraction? Really? This strikes you lot as in some way a good thing to do?
Regardless, this will be my last word on the subject. Those of you who enjoy sewer wrestling, by all means keep at it.
