Ok so me and a few friends went into a WH to kill some sleepers (My first time in a WH)... While fighting them I warped out for repairs, I left the WH and went to the nearest station to repair and get more cap boosters. I head back into the WH and it collapses... So we are stuck, an the worst thing is the person with the probes had to leave and get his combat ship to help with the sleepers. Is there any way out other than self destructing? Thanks in advance. -Feldar

You guys are kinda screwed.
In future, the probe guy is first in, and LAST out. Let him be the salvager or something. Take more than 1 probe launcher-equipped ship. Probe guys leave the WH last.
Options available: Wait it out and cry for passers-by. Post in forum and offer money to get out. (include system ID #) Self-destruct pods for a fast ride home. (Hope those weren't +5 implants in yer head) _______________________________

Thanks for the help. I don't have any expensive implants so I might self destruct. I am relativity new and so are the others so we don't really have enough money to offer to pay someone to help. If one of us had a scanning alt outside the WH would they be able to scan a way inside?

Quite a bit more actually, as there are also 5,000 systems it could potentially be in.
Self destruct is your best (and pretty much only) option. In future, you might be best dropping a bit of DPS for several or all of you to carry a probe launcher in case this kind of thing happens again. And always check the status of any WH (right click, show info) before jumping in, as it might be on its last legs.

You might have one other option. If you provide the locust signature here and lay out some cans saying "Lost in Wormhole. Contact Feldar Spock". Just make sure to drop them all over the system and change them out every 2 hours and wait for a mail. Eventually someone will find them. If it takes longer than 24 hours, just blow up your ships and your pods... Get some free KMs... Hope you're insured...

Thanks for all the help. If it matters the W-System is J125428. I am currently spamming the local with requests for help from any one who can hear. I'll set out jet cans at all the planets as well. Also, doesn't self destructing void your insurance?

K thanks. My plan right now is to wait 24 hours while spamming local with help requests and if no help come I'll self destruct.

Just had someone offer to help... But it was for a completely ridiculous price. :( If there is anyone in J125428 that would be willing to help for a small price or possibly free convo or send me a mail. Thanks.

it was a fluke i found the worm hole 100mill isk to resuce 5 people is a good price, you wont find some one to scan down 5000 worm hole systems for anything less.
Also to any one thinking about rescuing them its more then likely a trap, they refused to display any proof other wise.

It was 3 people btw. And we agreed to pay your price but you left the convo saying it was too late. We were no threat to you, unless you fell threatened by a punisher, a pilgrim, and an omen. We honestly wanted your help but the risk it was a scam were too great and we could not pay you unless you gave us some evidence that you didn't just read this thread and decide you would try to make a quick buck.

Enjoy being a know scammer. We had a friend scan down kedama and sure enough no WH leading to J125428. :) We made a good move not paying you the money. That would have been 100M down the drain.

It's very rare wormholes are empty these days, have you tried asking in local? That really is your best bet. Wormholes hide who else is there but people can still see things written in local. Someone might help you out for no other reason than a possible friendship. Some people really are just nice, believe it or not.

Edited by: Silent Shaz on 27/08/2010 03:27:23 Eject from ship. Warp to all moons looking for POS (POSes won't shoot pods). Contact POS owners and beg for exit. If sending payment, use escrow and be prepared to be blowed up anyway, seeing as the POS owners probably won't be happy about you stealing their sleeper loot.
Or eject and self-destruct pod. Save a lot of time and effort if you don't have an expensive head.
And never ever go into W-space without a probe launcher!

Thanks for all your help guys. We have ejected our ships and bookmarked the location in hopes we will be able to find them again lol.
Surprisingly enough according to http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/J125428/stats the system has been relativity empty for the past few days. No POS's and no one on directional. We really didn't have the patience to wait any longer.

That wouldn't work. The entrance to WH systems change very frequently (usually 24 hours give or take). There's no way to scan your way back inside since you have no way of knowing in which system the new entrance is in.
It's a tough lesson to learn, but an important one. You need to come prepared.

why eject first? do you like leaving a nice loaded ship for the wh occupents to scan down and take?

I'd help. We have a solid policy. get them out if they pay out, then crash the wormhole. a 7 plate, 100mn typhoon does the job rather well. Throw on a t1 cloak for the 2 minute timer.

mmmm T3 strategic cruisers....... nice find, congratz. Another reason could be: "I have all sub skills to level 5 and I dont want to loose skill points"
We always convo a T3 pilot when we have him in structure to give him the opertunity to save his skill points and POD in return for the ship. =====

i doubt it seeing as how all even semi-intelligent T3 pilots eject from the ship before its destroyed and pods insta warp, might want to try knowing your stuff before you make things up and look silly on the forums.
