Example -
you're camping a gate with your friends, half the gang on one side the other half on the other side. A target lands on gate jumps through, gets engaged, then crashes the gate. The gang on the other side finishes the target off & gets the kill mail, but only the players in the system where the ship was killed get on the kill mail. The guys on the other side who assisted the kill get no kill mail loving.
This should be changed to a 15 minute timer so anyone who does damage to a ship gets on the mail.

I agree with this completely!! It should have some sort of timer to show damage done within the last 10-15 min so it counts on the km. (yes im a km ***** too!)

Yea, I totally agree.
Some sort of timer would be nice.

Yea. I'm not even into pvp, and the way it is, doesn't make sence to me. A timer would be a good way, as long as it can be extended, like if your in a long fight. The timer should be extended each time someone shoots at it, but should also still retain the "in the system" rule, if the person has to drop out of a long fight.

I agree. It doesn't make sense the way it is now.

Make sense or not it can't be changed. It is the Node that sends out the notification that a kill has occured. Change nodes = change km.
IIRC CCP decided that jumping gates was considered good enough so as to avoid the strangeness of jumping from one system on Node A to another system on Node B and having to track a killmail across the two nodes.

remove killmails from the game ... problem solved, they make ppl use ***got tactics in pvp anyway. Eve pvp would be 100% better off without them

I agree people should get credit for setting up multi-system traps.
