Dropbear, as is his wont, dropped a bombshell in a seemingly random thread. I'm linking here to bring his post to the attention of the MD forum.
Basic questions: - Will the enabling of MWD in missions significantly affect their completion times? - If yes to above, what will be the effects on the market?

Your post assumes that these two "basic questions" are inherently linked. I think it is much more likely that they are completely separate.
In regards to your first question, I do not believe that MWD will significantly affect mission completion times. The only situations where MWD provide a huge advantage are with smaller ships, which are generally running lower level missions and are inconsequential to the economy as a whole.
That said, even though I do not believe it will significantly change mission running, I wouldn't be surprised if MWD shoot through the roof in the short term from speculators buying up named stocks (especially for 10MN/100MN variants). In the long-run, I would expect MWD prices to settle down a slight bit above where they currently sit, since mission runners would probably all stock a MWD for the odd mission where it significantly reduces completion time, but I would not expect any substantial change.
I would also like to point out that this is all totally speculation, and I could be totally wrong

I can see people trying out blaster Kronoses and Vindis, but I'm not sure if it would even be a blip on the market.
Very few of the blitzable missions are significantly limited by ship speed beyond what an afterburner can provide. Usually blitzing is totally dependent on focusing on the proper targets. So, I don't expect that there would be much effect at all on LP production.

Since the week before the one that just ended, I think. But not in all deadspaces yet. Just most missions. _

Increase price for META MWD's, decreased price for Salvage...
The second you toss a MWD on your hull and activate it, it DOES make you easier to scan down. For people who fit MWD either could care less about the salvage because they are trying to complete it as fast as possible. Sure they may come back, but by then the Ninja Salvager has been and gone. Considering the fact that they can also fit MWD, it makes them faster to travel from wreak to wreak. Before you had to use AB because you can't tractor beam the wreaks in.
I think this is more of a win for Ninjas then anything else.

It might even get more hardcore L4 grinders salvaging their own loot again, whereas many of them stopped when the loot tables changed. With faster salvage comes more isk/hr, leading them to choose to return to their mission sites, so I expect perhaps marginal increase in salvage supply. _________ Eve - for when I'm not playing minecraft ;) |

kinda like since the last major patch. I just remember my MWD worked in a guristas extra before I ruined my sec status, and that was around April/May

Hmm, yeah, some might have been changed earlier, but the mass change was more recent... right ? And it's still not fully done. AFAIK, anyway. *shrug* I seldom mission lately, and my corpmates don't often use ABs, let alone try MWDs.

And again, as Dropbear backpaddled in his second answer, that this change is UNDER INVESTIGARION, nothing more, not even arguing that this will be implemented FOR SURE, someone felt to have to make a thread about.

Still got a few [thousand] Y-T8s laying around? lol. I was making 100m/day when the last guy tried this on, just bought cheap in the morning, sold at his prices at night.

I was assuming they meant the high meta mwds, 0% cap bonus on the x-type, and 3% on the a-type would be most optimal for most mission ships.
