iv tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing is working also i cant seem to get sisi client to auto patch or manual patch since last mass test im wondering if theyr still deploying the next sisi patch and thats why auto patch doesn't work or if i can somehow get this launcher to work for me again

FWIW mine's just worked fine. 1.18, launcher didn't say of any newer release, ran the repair button and didn't get any new files, just the checksumming, Sisi launched fine and lets me log in.
Perhaps try nuking all the stuff in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\ for WinXP, there's a CCP_checksum_cache_ file in there as well as temp subfolders from IIRC each run/failed run of the launcher.
Then be sure you have 1.18 from the direct download linked above? |

Potential unwanted feature:
I was toying with the SisiLauncher because like some others lately, the update didnt work and one would screw their sisi install. So i removed the sisi installation that went corrupt and wanted to copy original tranq eve client again with the Launcher tool.
So what i did was specify a new path which was: C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP (notice i didnt add the \EVE folder)
And the launcher went to copy the tranq instal into the ccp folder, it didnt create a \Singularity folder, it just dumped all its files there. So when i noticed my mistake i pressed cancel, and BOOM, my entire ccp folder is empty Meaning i have to download and reinstall the original Tranq installation. Including redo all my settings and sh*t..
So sadly the launcher tool just removes all the content of the folder in which it is copying. Thnx

A little issue that I ran into that might be useful to others if they run into the same problem. The SiSi Launcher only works if it is under the original filename of "SisiLauncher.exe". Some browsers may rename this to "SisiLauncher(1).exe" or something else while downloading, and this breaks the launcher for some reason. My system is running Windows 7.

The Launcher tried to update my Sisi install today but broke (with a stacktrace that I didn't bother to copy, sorry!). It then launched the EVE client and told me there was a 9.5MB patch for Sisi. I clicked Yes to download the patch and was immediately told that the patch was 100% downloaded and was corrupt. I then quit EVE and restarted the Launcher and it downloaded 56MB (note: NOT 9.5MB) worth of updates. After that the client connects to Sisi perfectly.

0.01% before completion of the copying stage, the launcher crashed, as did every thing else I had open.I had to restart my comp, and when I opened the launcher again, it tried to patch, update and whatever, it failed.
I copied the files over manually, "Copy and replace" it failed again.
Deleted everything in the Singularity folder, replaced it all with the TQ client, ran Sisi Launcher again, it reported failed, but then launched a Sisi client that asked me to update.
During this it asked me to download a repair tool for the client As soon as the repair tool was launched, it stopped, saying it was canceled, then asked me to use the repair tool again repeatedly.
Deleted the folder Singularity, ran the launcher again.
No crash in copying this time but updating still failed.
My TQ client runs and works fine. But I'm now looking for a manual way to do this. If that still doesn't work, I'll redownload Eve and try the launcher again.

just deployed another update, it only fixes the issue where the launcher would delete your stuff if you selected a folder that already existed for the singularity client, the path you select for the singularity client must not exist when you run the tool for the first time.
regarding the other issues that have been popping up, MemoryError, Overflow, etc.. these are all symptoms of the same corruption issue we are dealing with, its being looked into but progress is slow, hopefully we will know something more this week. This issue has been plaguing us for a while now. Mandrake CCP - Core Infrastructure

First time I used the launcher it worked fine. But once an update came out, I got the following error and have no idea what to do about it other than download a new client. No auto-update, no repair, no options, nothing but this error log is generated. Running Windows 7 64-bit.

Edited by: Soldarius on 17/12/2010 07:09:20 That wasn't a repair tool dump. That was from the SiSiLauncher. Now... where is that repair tool...
/me digging through hundreds of threads on repair tool... nope... google search... ah, there it is.
Repair tool ver 3.12 found missing stuffs in my SiSi installation (probably due to the failed update).
...and... it "repaired" Singularity by transforming it into Tranquility. Wonderful tools. :P Lucky for me it was in a separate directory from TQ to begin with.
Ran SiSiLauncher again just to see if it would do anything and it failed with the same error. Going straight to the client and starting there it tells me that no incremental update is available and to download the entire client again, which I don't care to do.

Did you run the repair.exe from within your Sisi install? E.g. C:\Program Files\CCP\Singularity\repair.exe
Actually I just tried it, WARNING TO OTHERS: it doesn't have a start button, so before I'd hit cancel it was downloading some update, which the Sisilauncher didn't determine I'd needed not 5 minutes before. Repair tool said it was 3.12 too, ...and now the Sisilauncher's done downloading ~12mb possibly to repair the damage, as the repair tool perhaps isn't designed to fix Sisi installs. |

Just try'et 1.18 - downloaded from Firefox and launched from there.
It told me that ther was a new vertion and i sad yes to that one. I than told it where my old Sisi install was and it startet to do some checking not a big surprice but it would download 1,4 GB data to fix it ( but it was an old install ).
Then to save some time i removed the old client and asked it to fix the client again. Ups now it want to download a complete client - no offer of doing a copy from live install But then how would it be able to tell where i have my main eve install ?
I was NOT using the default install for sisi client, since my main eve is on Intel SSD Disk ( G1 !! ) and i'am keeping that kind on my T: drive.
So next move was to take a fresh live copy and try on that one - i am doing that right now again 1,4 GB data so i assume all then new stuff is just that big ?
so it looks like it can't find main eve client to copy/compare from - but other wise works great.

Edited by: Solinuas on 18/12/2010 17:42:39 Screw this tool, it is not helpful in the least, i mean yeah it downloads fine, and then if something happens to interrupt your internet connection while its updating, your screwed, and have to start over (like i have been, for the past 2 days). You need some way for it to realize that the connection was interrupted and then keep downloading from where it left off.
