Whats the status of the mac version of the sisi launcher? it would be nice to be able to get on sisi without having to download a complete client, because a lack of manual mac patches the past few weeks.

Edited by: Daneel Trevize on 20/01/2011 21:30:50 As per this, I can get the Incompatable Protocol error from Sisi when using the launcher, but Not Accepting Connections if I use a newly created shortcut to launch the client. No file changes are being made obvious, it seems simply launching the client differently gives the different errors.
I believe I'm running the latest 1.19 launcher and patch it offered, then minus the optional patch that must have been available at some point, and plus the manual one to 1.1.1 as detailed in that post. |

Update: Can get on to Sisi now using a shortcut, but not via the launcher. Same Protocol error as before if you use this tool. |

The patch is http://cdn1.eveonline.com/test/evepremiumpatch221279-222391_m.exe, click No to patching the detected TQ path, the shortcut wants to be suffixed with Quote: ...exe" /server:87.237.38.50

Edited by: Daneel Trevize on 24/01/2011 23:56:53 Weird, using the direct shortcut made recently gives me different saved fittings than using the launcher tool now that it's updated for the latest patch. One solution is obvious but how can it be me mixing up different copies of Sisi if I didn't have to manually patch anything, just the 1 set of changes made by this tool, it really seems like the launcher launches differently. |

I noticed this also .... using the direct shortcut I created a new avatar. Then I used the launcher and it displayed a previous avatar and settings. They have now "synced up" and either way I access Sisi I get the same stuff. Curious

SiSi launcher doesnt seem to want to copy any files to a seperate SiSi folder atm:
òSpecify the path to the Singularity client (can be an existing one or a new folder) òClick the "Play" button òIf there is no client in the location you will be asked for the path to your TQ client - This doesn't happen, it just launches seemingly using the TQ files (no copying took place).

Which version of the launcher, are you sure you end up with a client logging in to TQ or Sisi, and does it state the user count or any incompatability error? |

Latest, with the log server tickbox.
The Launcher is using the TQ files; and it works too, it correctly sends me to SiSi (Doomsday testing ally etc, all my SiSi stuff there). But its freaking me out a bit to think its using the TQ files Before now its always created its own directory.

It's doing that because TQ and Sisi are both running the same version. I'll check the logic on it, because it would be better to not use the TQ folder for that.

To explain a bit what is happening when the sisi launcher uses the TQ files...
First off, it will not ruin your TQ client, you can safely repair it and you will still be able to connect to TQ.
When the sisi launcher uses the TQ files it is simply to save time, it would otherwise start copying the TQ client to the singularity path and then run it from there, but since the clients are identical there isn't really a need for a seperate copy of the TQ client.
The logic is as follows: 1. eve.exe does not exist in the sisi client folder or the sisi client folder itself doesn't exist (ie, sisi client not valid) 2. Tranquility and Singularity are running the same version
If 1 and 2 are true then use the TQ client. Mandrake CCP - Core Infrastructure

Maybe, for us completely paranoid people, you could put in a "force copy of TQ client to sisi folder if eve.exe does not exist in the sisi client folder" option....just a thought.

SiSi - I recently downloaded the SiSi program but it will not function.
One problem with missiles is that they are creating a mirror of their self behind the targeted ship if the range of the missile is not within the range to create damage.
