All pilots, report immediately to fighter bay for launch preparation. The camera slides along the top of the arched hallway, following a mass of running people, all suited up perfectly. Music starts playing. The door at the end of the hall opens; the men and women dash into the massive, open bay.
Initiate pre-flight checks and prepare for launch. The synthesized voice of Aura rolled throughout the fighter bay as the pilots barreled across the deck and scrambled into their waiting fighters. A sort of orderly uproar was visible as the camera ascended the open space, panning to reveal the whole hangar during the sequence.
Jump sequence complete. Carrier-Fighter control protocol confirmed. Deployment order acknowledged, first flight launching. More music. The Templars' engines flare and they spring forward, lurching out of the golden cathedral of their home and cutting through the void to their target. Lasers burned through the empty space as they assumed their orbital patterns, tearing into the armor of the Megathron. As the camera pans back, their beams become only one small part of the massive firestorm of munitions, light, debris and explosions raging between the two fleets.
Control recall order acknowledged. The Templars whip around and fly back to their vessel's welcoming hangars. The last track of the video plays as the 5 Templars fly in formation around the Archon before docking.
The movie ends and the classroom lights back up. The instructor, having been leaning up against the wall of the room with a little smile of amusement at his class' expressions during the movie, pushes off and heads for the center of the front of the room.
"Now, I'm sure you all enjoyed that little thing, yes?" He's responded to with a general rumble of excitement and approval from the pilots-to-be before him. "Heh, right. Just remember: that's years of study and simulation away from now. But, that's all for class today." The class starts scrambling to pack up their stuff and hurry out the door while he keeps talking. "Now just a second, remember, study the manuals over the weekend, QUIZ over the major sections is on Tuesday, and I'll see you all next week!"
Outside classroom 221. As the various classes on the levels end, students bubble out into the corridor.
"Immur, that is SO going to be us in like, 4 years or something! It's gonna be awesome!" "Yea, it'll be pretty cool, Dirna. Try not to find a way to break the simulator when they put you in it though." "Ass." "You love it." "Whaaaaaaatever. Oh, head to the recreation center in a couple hours, ok? I wanna go see that new flick at the cinema and Saerdi backed out at the last second, the scrub. I saw a few of the ads for this one, and I dunno, it's got Marin in it, you know that girl from Algoille, right? Well see, I read in "The Scoper" that she's actually..." "Take a damn breath, woman!" "Oh shut up. Cinema, 2 hours. Go. Go no, move."
