We have all heard the protestations of capsuleer followers of Master Kuvakei that Nation is serving the best interests of humanity. Thus far, we have seen little if any proof for this position. But an idea occurs to me...
Sansha's Nation currently maintains good relations and a fairly high diplomatic standing (5.0) towards The Blood Raider Covenant. And, in exchange, the Covenant also extend good standings (4.5).
As we know, The Blood Raider Covenant preys on unwary space travelers... and then harvests them for their blood. In particular, they favour the blood of cloned humans and thus capsuleers are a prime target. The Blood Raider Covenant is nothing more than a hostile parasitic organization that is a blight on humanity.
So my challenge is simple. Take a first step and sever all relations with The Blood Raider Covenant. If you are truly benevolent, the Blood Raiders could have no place among your allies. Demonstrate publicly your goodwill towards humanity.

Then why exactly is it that in the past, heads of state or their representatives have conversed here, as well as more recently, representatives of CONCORD and the supposed Sansha Kuvakei himself?
Since you seem to know so much about this forum, I thought you could enlighten me.

Torash...this isn't the assembly. You're exceeding your bounds dictating what can and cannot be voiced in this public forum and to who it may or may not be directed. Besides, it never stopped you in the past.

Master Kuvakei recently confirmed positive standings between the Covenant and Nation.

Hrm.
He seems to be more appealing to common sense, here, Ms. Callibri. I mean, in this case, he's probably wrong (as Boma says, official entities do occasionally post or respond on the IGS), but he doesn't seem to be trying to apply his Assembly role.

As Aria says, official entities have from time to time interacted with capsuleers in this forum. Sansha's Nation (Master Kuvakei, Citizen Astur) and CONCORD (Haeldone Dorgiers) have been seen here in recent months. So I hardly see my posting and challenge as mere rhetoric, without valid purpose here.
Additionally, my challenge is directed to Sansha Loyalists. Both for their perspective on the matter, and for their influence. We have seen True Slaves take suggestions from loyalist capsuleers on the battlefield... and perhaps that influence extends further. One example would be battlefield tactical objectives; a loyalist at Aidart (on 2010-08-05) suggested that my Navy Dominix be targeted... et viola, I was primaried.

Really, Mr. Gaul?
Perhaps you should consider the various people living underneath the Covenant that believe and live in their faith daily.
Perhaps you should consider that the Covenant particularly enjoys cleaning up the messes left behind by you Capsuleers? However mainstream that may be, I am not aware of the complete details.
Severing ties is more damaging than whatever Nation could hope to gain from such a political gesture. Yes, Nation could make a statement by doing so, but what would Nation gain? Goodwill such as that would be readily shoved aside by the Empires' leaders if Nation were to compromise such a position. Be mindful that Nation was peaceful before when its lands were ransacked.
I do not think you have properly considered the full military and economic ramifications. I could get into an ethical explanation about the Covenant, but that is beyond my jurisdiction.

Now that we have cleared things up for the ignorant and moved on to the heart of the matter, I am with Ghost on this one, though no Sansha loyalist am I. In fact I find Nation and its activities entirely insignificant.
Kuvakei will never make this gesture you request, because its good intentions have been and always will be nothing more than a ruse.
The relationship between Nation and Covenant is textbook. Genius sociopath sick bastard finds stupid faith-smitten sick bastard. Genius sociopath sick bastard takes advantage of stupid faith-smitten sick bastard.
It is elementary really, and I can't imagine why it would ever change.

Sansha Kuvakei is simply doing what the other factions seek to do; pursue power.
Except, this time, use a veil of propaganda to do so. Aligning with the Covenant makes sense, since both factions prey on the weak and defenceless, but it is also a strategic decision too.
The State seeks to protect its power, and by doing so, it aligns with the Amarr Empire, regardless if it makes sense.
Using the Kyonoke virus doesn't make sense either, because Nation is purely seeking to become an empire using the "utopia" facade as a justification. ------------ Luminaire General Seriphyn Inhonores Eleutherian Guard [FDU] |
