For example I wanted to get into a wormhole to test some fittings out.
However I had to go through scanning down various WH's (hoping to find one) making the Test server not a very enjoyable experience.... why cant players just have a special tool for Sisi that allows them to teleport themselves wherever they want every day or so?
Also, why is the mirror on Sisi over a month old?? |

Well, that's not going to happen, the test server isn't here for your fit-testing convenience, (common misconception, you're not alone in it, don't worry) nor will they ever develop anything specifically for the test server.
And mirrors are done when mirrors need to be done. If you attend mass-tests you will get 2mil SP per test (of which the latest five are also carried over at mirrors!). That should be enough to make your character catch up to TQ in no time. |

Regarding moving anywhere: This was tried once through the moveme channel by CCP Atropos, but it was being abused too much, so he had to stop this experiment again. Apart from moving to closed systems like Polaris (which was avoided quite easily) it was quite annoying that several players used to get away from PVP fights in the test-system, when they were about to die. I would have no problem with this personally - but I assume that there will be again many complaints. If anybody wants to read more about the former moveme bot, feel free to do so here or here.
Regarding mirrors: Preparing a mirror takes quite a bit of time and work, so we can't do it too often. Normally you can expect a new mirror every 1-3 months, but this depends a lot on what is being tested at the moment on Sisi.

thank u for the response Haba....
maybe a simple check could be added so either
1) people cannot use the moveme bot in combat 2) you can only use it every x number of hours?
Also, regarding the Test Server skill points... its a test server... shouldnt there maybe be an ability to have skill points added per week automatically? and when the mirrors happen every few months they reconcile the points?
Its annoying to have a test server that i cannot test what i want on, because my clone on Tranq. is months ahead of the test clone.... |

Ah, MovemeBot. We had some good times, until people abused it. The code for the bot is around somewhere, so you never know...
That said, it's not a high priority (or even prioritised at all) so don't hold your breath. Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure |

Could the bot be set up with a randomized delay?
Like if you request a move, the bot would move you after a random time between 30-120 seconds. This would make it harder to abuse in the ways it was done when the bot last was live on SISI |

I can say we've spent enough time developing the current automovebot... the one that takes you to 6-cz49. I can't see any changes being made to it in the future.
This comes under the same mantra that I have outlined in my previous posts, no test server only content or code. There are very few exceptions to this. |

Does mean people porting into wormholes get "stuck" if they don't have a probe launcher, but there's always self-destruct/scanning. |

Just a quick question it wouldn't take much to add some kinda of 30 second delay before it moves you, the majority of fights you're loosing won't last that long, so once the moveme command is recieved it takes 30 seconds before you're moved, it's short enough to be useful, but long enough to avoid people abusing it to avoid fights.
I don't know what kind of modification it would require I figured it would be pretty sinple to add a 30 second delay. |

I'd rather have the devs work on EVE proper than debugging tools that are only of use on the test server. |
