So I started a second account a couple weeks ago and was wondering what the range was on fleet rewards. For example, if my industrial character is mining and my mission character is running missions, say 18 jumps away, are both characters (in a fleet together) sharing the reputation rewards or is that too far away?
If there is a range, what is it? How are the faction reputation gains divided? 50/50?
Sorry if this has been asked and answered, I searched it but couldn't find a clear answer to those specific questions. Maybe my searching skills suck. Thanks in advance.

Yes if you turn the "share rewards in fleet" options on, you share: - standings increase - mission ISK rewards - loyalty points no matter the distance (I did it a lot to increase my R+D character's standings for 100% refining & datacores and usually it was in an other region).
The only thing that isn't shared are kill bounties. And yes, it's 50/50.

Kill bounties are shared if your fleet members are within the same solar system where the bounty kills took place.

I disagree on the kill bounties. I mine in eystur and when I run missions in eystur, my mining char doesn't get any of the kill bounties. Just his share of the rewards and LP.

If you want to share the bounties you actually have to be on grid when the ships are killed

I believe you actually need to participate in the combat. A logistics alt on a 2nd account that used to rep me, used to get very little bounties compared to my main. I honestly can't remember if it was any at all, but I'm fairly sure it wasn't 50/50.

Just to clarify;
Natalie is correct about the standings - I have ground up corp rep with alts in a station in Caldari space while they were fleeted with a mission runner in Gallente space.
Note though that the increases will not show until you get a session change, so don't panic if you complete a mission but there is no immediate change to the standings of the fleeted character.
As for bounties;
You get 50% of the bounty if you are fleeted and on grid. I often run a 2nd account with a salvager following my mission runner. If the salvager is a room behind, he gets nothing, but as soon as he warps into a room where I am still killing things, he gets 50% of any bounties even though he never takes any active part in the combat.

What Lafaela said... I do the salvage/loot alt. Anything killed while in the room splits bounties 50/50. Not on grid, no split.

Thanks for the clarification on that - been a while :)

Wonderful advice so far!
Just note that the split of rewards & bounties is split evenly between all eligible - if you have five pilots in the fleet, each will get 20%. There used to be a restriction of 10 pilots getting a split, I do not know if that still applies.

How about the 10% gang mining yield bonus? Is that a "same grid" situation, too? I'm assuming it is, I'm just not sure.

Mining Foreman bonuses - and for that matter Orca bonuses - are also grid related.
Which is why larger mining ops have transports to move the ore from the Orca to a base rather than using the Orca, even though the Orca can carry much more.

And just for the curious: if you are not fleeted but are on grid and have participated in the kill by, say, target painting from 50km away while you salvage, you get a share...

No they are not, any squad bonuses (both those like mining foreman and those from gang link modules) are system wide and are gained by all people in a valid squad (ie at least one squad member and the squad commander in space, doesn't matter if they are on different grids). The same applies for wing and fleet bonuses except the wing/fleet commander needs to be in space. If the person providing the boost isn't one of the commanders they also need to be in space.
The reason people use a transport in addition to an orca is that gang link modules cannot be activated in warp therefore if the orca is transporting they switch off whenever it moves.
