Not enough powergrid for a Battleship AB means i'll probably stick to my Hurricane for salvaging L4s, but it's still good to see the hull being put to use.

Prehaps you should consider the tractor bonus when weighing up the use of this ship.
Its another wonderful extension that shows CCP's true desire to stay at the cutting edge of gaming with their Spring 2010 Release.

Except that with its tractor bonuses, you won't be needing an afterburner anyway.

I'm sure that's what the devs think too, but being able to tractor things from 40km away or whatnot instead of 20 is nothing compared to travelling at nearly 1km a second.

not to mention i'm pretty sure there's a threadnaught concerning MWDs being allowed in deadspace in mission&complexes, and it can certainly fit a 10MN MWD, although it won't be cap stable
and i don't know why you'd want to trade 80km 2km/s tractor for anything _____________________ Horrors! Demons in the deep! |

Note: 60% bonus to tractor range and velocity... PER LEVEL.
At level 4 ORE Industrial, you now have... very long tractor beams... 68 km? Is that right? 80 km tractors if you spend the 20 days getting it to 5.
That is, assuming the "per level" isn't a typo..

It's probably how they plan on having it. Should have taken a closer look at the pictures before instead of assuming it would be a trivial bonus. For some reason i lack faith in CCP these days, but this gives me hope.

Yeah was about to remind you that it doesn't matter how fast it is when it won't even have to move to salvage an entire mission area. ;)

Involuntary bonus arousal is a common problem among MMO players. Medical help is available for this.

eh, just throw a cruiser mwd on. I'm hoping they do the global allow mwd in missions by the time the winter expansion hits. then again I'm not sure that you would ever have to hit the prop mod with that tractor range

If you're salvaging everything, you're wasting your time in the first place. Noctis will definitely cut down on the time waste but it's still a waste of time.
With the bonus to tractor speed they should have increased the speed of the Noctis to about the 250m/s range giving you 400+ m/s with an AB.
Personally, I prefer using a Tristan with MWD, 4 salvagers, 3 salvage tackles, 2 inertial stabs, 1 power relay and 2 cap rechargers. I can salvage sites faster. At 2300m/s I can put all 4 salvagers on a wreck, grab the loot, run to the next wreck before the salvagers finish cycling with a 95% chance they'll finish the salvage before getting out of range. Sure, it's limited on cargo but since the mission loot nerf it's not that big of a problem. OF course it is predicated on selectively salvaging/looting. At sleeper sites it can't be beat even by a ship with 4 tractors/salvagers. The idea is to keep moving.

Now the real question is, can I stop salvaging sleeper sites actively with my drake with this?
Will sleepers shoot it?
Will this ship have the same sig radius as the primae?
Will this thing run out of cap like no ones business?
Basically, would my cap stable drake be better to salvage in active sites in wormholes, or will this thing be better? If it chews up cap like an abbadon, then I think I will pass.
