I'm working my way towards a Heavy Interdictor (HIC). I'm wondering what people consider the better HIC. I tend to favor the Broadsword because the resistances seem to be a bit better, plus I know people have a preference for guns in PvP. The Onyx, well, being a Caldari mission runner from the start, I'm a hair closer to the Onyx. Plus, it would put me in a good spot to train up for a Tengu.
As for skills, both my missile and gun skills are about equal, and I'll have to go for T2 weapons for either ship. For the rest, I can already fit T2 modules. So I'm just curious as to which HIC people prefer and why. Thanks all.

The type of weaponry is largely irrelevant. Turrets are NOT favoured for any other kind of pvp than sniping, for obvious reasons. Note how the drake is by FAR the most popular pvp ship. Stealth bombers are of evergrowing popularity.
As for the question at hand, I'd still say broadsword however. Even resistances and faster being the main selling points. All in all pretty even. In fact the only hic without any real use is the phobos. Parrots, commence!

You can't really go wrong with either one, but having used both, I feel more comfortable in the Broadsword. The better resistances always gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling (even if it made no real difference). I got a lot of kills in it on my Minmatar character back before all my roaming buddies quit Eve. --- This doesn't even seem to be a regular case of rats fleeing the sinking ship. I prefer Onyx with HMs, gives more reach. But its largely irrelevant. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bull****, Drake is pretty much the only missile boat used a lot other than SBs.

What are the obvious reasons?
Thank you.

Same with the weapons systems, both are quite different skillpaths, so look towards the future for those as well.
Turrets ARE awsome pvp platforms btw. And Drakes are mostly known for tank at a low cost.
Both HIC's are awsome though. Its not like theres a wrong answer or bad choice here.

It's not that hard to get both Cruiser skills to Level V. I would get Minmatar Cruiser V first, but that's my style. --- This doesn't even seem to be a regular case of rats fleeing the sinking ship.
