If the Minmatar hate my tats so much, why do they keep selling me their ships, even when I keep getting blown up in them. oh...

Edited by: Dark Shiekh on 22/09/2010 20:52:17 Indeed, it is not uncommon to see young Gallente teenagers sporting tribal and gang motifs lifted from their Minmatar peers, symbols of whose true meaning they have little to no knowledge. This can evoke anything between high derision and outright hostility when those so inked encounter true Minmatar.
Think ive heard stories of the native new zealanders, the maori reacting this way when outsiders copying thier tattoos

Nice story but man I hate idioms in literature.
"...the Amarr all but eradicated the tattoo culture"...

Originally by: Axel Vindislaga So the Tattoo parlour is the Minmatar administrive complex? I can see it now... Minmatar youths queueing for hours for drivers licence tatts.
Also this character of mine uses Minmatar Core Complexion tech. Can a non Minmatar capsuleer get Minmatar Tatts that are more offical and not regarded with disdain?
Not an official answer, just speculating but: yes and no. If you impress the tribe, and attain enough social status with them, you'll likely be offered an Official Tattoo to signify your status and actions with them. It will likely include elements of "friend to the tribe" or even "adopted into the tribe" in it's design.
But you might face incredulity or disbelief from some of the more ignorant or racist Minmatars out there. Especially if one is Amarr or Caldari in origin.

And lastly can I request a chronicle to do with the subcranial micro controlers. I think they would be really really improtant tech and play an important role throughout New Eden
How do you know if you have one or not?
Seconded, as I think their (standard) use and purpose is fairly misunderstood as well.

The first thing I do when I buy a new Minmatar ship is throw out all those damned needle gun racks.

Originally by: Skogen Gump I would most definitely appreciate a wallpaper sized version of the art for this story.
Good work, Ginger!
Ohh yeah, I second this. The art is fantastic, as is the entire chronicle.

I hope this gets to play a role in incarna. And it would be nice if only Minmatar CEOs or militia can grant the use of certain tattoos. I can see a lot of Minmatar players walking around in stations without shirts on. lol
And since I'm Gallente it would be nice to see some body mods.

Edited by: Sora De''Quasar on 07/10/2010 12:40:44 I wonder if all this will be integrated into the Incarna Expansion... I mean, its a big part of our [the minmatar] upcoming "avatars"... and hehehe I hope there will be a possibility to buy or gain [whatever works better] tattoos in Incarna if your Minmatar... this could be a cool thing... have Inking studios in Minmatar stations and stuff like that

"Tattoos" is a new EVE Chronicle written by CCP Ginger.
Ironically, neither Tattoos nor Asians, Africans or South Americans will be part of your new Nordic character generator. Hmmm, you people at CCP make me tired.

I've always been fascinated by the culture of the Minmatar which made this chronicle all the more pleasurable to read.
Thanks.
