Yes, you would use the member tracking API. You would need to provide your FULL API and have director rights or be the CEO.
Linkage
Check that out.

Theoretically speaking the answer is yes. Practically, it'd be useless due to long caching times.

That would be the case in most other calls to the API, but this particular one has the modified short API cache time, meaning its only cached for a few seconds in most cases. Just obey the cachedUntil timer and will be well with the universe.

The cache time for the CorpMemberTracking API is 6 hours - hardly a few seconds.
Secondly, if the API works like the same information in game it won't actually update the logonDateTime attribute until after the player has logged off. Which makes it redundant for checking online status. It's easy to test though - just call the API when you and at least another corp member are online and check the logon times.

if i call NOW the api, the cached until shows me "2010-10-01 13:26:22". thats not 6 hours, but its to long for a "realtime" status :)
/edit oops, thats 6 hours.. why we all dont have the same time over the world :)

hmm strange. I was just doing some work with another API that is on the m-short cache and its only a few seconds. My bust =)
But i would figure the timer would be less on that call, as its essentially the same thing as the members tab on the corp panel which has a 5min delay.
